Oxo cubes are not solid cube shaped now. They are 'X' shaped. Same sized individual wrapper but the cube has its sides cut out. Crafty!

I also thought the same, that we were being outdone once again, but apparently, say the makers, that this was a trial. They liked the design and thought they would keep it as the cube was easier to crumble. They do say though that the weight of each cube hasn't been changed. Do we believe it or not.
  • I've been buying Wotsits variety multipack since 'forever' and you always got 4 of each flavour in the bag. However..... recently in Sainsburys it's changed to 4 cheese and only 3 hot and 3 prawn cocktail BUT for the original price!!! :(:(:(:(

Large Cheese packs used to be 500g a few years ago, now they all seem to be 400g and the height seems to have shrunk, used to be able to cover a slice of bread with three pieces, now it takes four making us use more...

  • This isn't something that's just happened recently, but at least twice in the past the diameter of the cardboard tube in toilet rolls has increased (i.e. there's less paper on a roll of the same outside diameter). I find this particularly annoying as we cannot do without these items!

Some packets of breakfast cereals seem to be in odd/smaller sizes, I particularly noticed the Kelloggs Special K and Corn Flakes (Sorry, I can't do a comparison, I don't pay that much attention :o) Special K for a not very big box is £3.10!! Cost a fortune putting a few boxes of cereals in your basket :(

Could have sworn that Weetabix used to be thicker... Packets still list the number of bisks inside, but no longer have any weight indication... There's now 2-3cm of space inside the top of the cardboard box, which there never used to be... The boxes are the same size as ever... Telling? Isn't this sort of thing illegal?

People in this country (apart from our good selves!) just don't complain enough, so companies will always get away with it...
  • Yes Copella has shrunk, it used to be 1 litre now 75cl for the same price.
    :hello:
  • A year ago I was buying 10 Turkey Dinosaurs in a pack. A few months ago it reduced to 8 in a pack. Last week the pack contained 6!
What is Bernard Matthews doing to the Dinosaurs!
(The dinosaurs also seem to be smaller than they used to be....)
  • Although not food, Simple soap is now in 100g bars. Was 125g. :(
  • not quite food stuff but last year morrisons halved the size of its pack of firelighters and the price remained the same.....so I cleared the shelf of the larger packs....given that they dont go off!:D
just dreading running out...incase they half the pack again.
  • Hula Hoops have shrunk too. As a child I used to enjoy wearing them like rings on my fingers. But these days I can't even fit them over my little finger. It's shameful.
