Oil central Heating installation

We currently have a coal fire which heats our hot water via backboiler and also heats our 7 radiators.

Got a quote today from a heating company.

Quote is a tad high i think

Boiler Type – Worcester Greenstar HE 18/25KW combination A rated exterior oil boiler with flue to suit. Disconnect existing solid fuel supply. Remove and dispose of hot water cylinder and cold water storage tanks. This boiler has a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty.
To supply and install 1200 litre tall thin oil tanks on slabbed base.
To include upgrading earth supply, time clock and insulation necessary.
£ 3950
To supply and install a boiler buddy magnetic cleansing device to protect your new boiler £ 125.
You would be eligible for a fuel switching grant of £ 650 which would be deducted from the final price.

Prices are subject to vat @ 17.5%
Terms: Payment on completion to installer


anyone shed any light on this? Was told the boiler will cost £1900
