GP produces 4 weeks of prescriptions and pharmacy dispenses one week's worth at a time.0 -
We have discovered that, if prescribed by GP's, tablets can be packed by the dispensing chemist into blister packs. The tablets are packed into strips of 4 blisters marked morning, lunchtime, afternoon and evening for each day of the week, with the correct tablets in each blister.
Our chemist delivers the tablets to my mum every week. I don't even need to order repeat prescriptions. A superb service but I don't know if we're just lucky or if it's available everywhere.0 -
Bertha, my dad has exactly the same system from our local Co-Op Pharmacy. They get the prescription every 4 weeks and dispense into trays with the days and times of day on it. I just go in once a month and collect the trays. They could issue them weekly but it saves me a trip. I am sure they would deliver if we wanted them to but I do not mind going to get them once a month.0

I think we are all describing the same thing. Do the photos ( blister pack) in the link I gave look familiar?
Not exactly but very similar.0
