Can TT just add money to my bill?

I need advice please. My ISP is Tiscali whom I have been with for over 10 years and had no problems whatsoever but TT has taken over from them and has informed me this month I have to pay £29 extra on top of my normal bill because I have migrated. I have not signed anything with TT and I am not totally convinced they can just charge me like this. I was informed when TT took over from Tiscali that nothing on my account would change. I have had no notification at all this was about to happen, just a telephone call yesterday out of the blue wanting my authorisation to take the extra money on my DD. Any advice please would be appreciated.

    You obviously don't have to pay the extra. You can switch to a different provider. See exactly what is available to you here.

  • Thanks for the reply. As I am with Tiscali I have never visited the TT homepage. I didn't realise they had such a bad reputation. I have phoned them today for my MAC code. They still can't explain how I owe the £29 and agreed my account has always been paid on time. When I asked for my MAC code they offered to waive the £29 but my blood pressure can't take anymore and I told them I don't trust them now so will be looking for another ISP I can trust. Thanks for your reply though.
