Who to fly with - striking BA or extortiant Virgin?

I am flying from London to Orlando in September and tend to book with either Virgin or BA depending who is cheaper. BA are well priced however I very narrowly missed a ruined trip to NYC in March and can't handle the stress again! However this year Virgin has hiked its prices up by first £100 last month and now by £200 (the return flight is currently £720pp) - obviously taking advantage of the situation. Should I just hold out until later in the year and see what happens? I love the way that Virgin is really pushing the good will of their customers....I feel more empathy for BA now!

Call KLM first. With luck, you could get an Amsterdam stopover. With even more luck, you could cancel your trans-Atlantic sector and have a holiday in Holland.

...Then realise that anything worth seeing in Europe is certainly not in Holland and re book yourself back to the States...

Of course, but lets not start getting silly and pretend that Holland offers anywhere near as much as the US or other places in Europe such as Italy, Switzerland, France etc...

Do you have to fly to Orlando? AS you are probably hiring a car anyway try looking at Tampa or even Miami. We flew from Birmingham via Zurich to Miami and the flight was about half of the direct flight to Orlando
