  • Hey there,
Well, maybe not today specifically.... but definitely have done my share towards reaching that goal not too long ago.
I have shared my experience in my contact details in my profile area. Perhaps that might help with your DFW?

  • Switched car finance to a personal loan - halved the interest rate and will be paid off in a year.
Paid off one credit card and will roll over the payment to the car, so I can pay it off in a year.
Sold the tumble drier - all washing on the line.
Shower and only have one bath a week.
CH no longer on timer, just turn it on when desperate.
    Eat all left overs
    Planted seeds for veg.
cut up CCs long time ago.
    made budget
    stuck to it

we do this :rotfl:convinced oh nd ds to get invloved (although took some pursausion with oh). The only thing that is hard about it is if I have it at the start of the week and then can't have another. Most weeks have a bath with oh so actually get 2 ;)

Milly I just don't know where to find the animated smilies - please tell me! They are wicked!!! M Happy to stand in for u until ur up early again as I've turned into an early worm since starting my new job a year ago, wish so much that I could lay in but 8 is about as late as it gets

really sorry things are getting on top of you Cloesmum. I work in MH and I would just say when ur feeling ur most fragile that's the time you need to be kindest to urself, think of urself as ur most treasured friend and apply the same treatment u would if she/he was feeling very low (kind words, gifts, speacial me time), try to keep as many ppl who make u feel good around around u. Its the nature of the beast that when our mh is poor we isolate ourselves and often can be really self-critical. {{{{hugs}}}} and remember the only certain thing in life is cahnge and this too will pass x

sorry I want to send msgs to u all after reading the posts but forget who said what now (sorry :o)

oh did u guys see "malc from eon" posted on yesterday's thread? not sure how I feel about it....

lol, I do this all the time! Feels so impersonal saying 'as someone said...' but sometimes there's so many little bits on everyone's posts that it's impossible not to! Thanks to the 'Thanks' button, I say!

Yeah, I saw that Eon thing - I got even more confused because it was today and when I checked back, yesterday's thread was ahead of today's IYSWIM... :spam:???

Thanks everyone for your anniversary comments on weds :D I will remember to use OH on here instead of DF for dear fiancee. I am so used to posting on babycentre boards and DH/DP/DF are used on there!!
    • Have a film night with OH :D (maybe sharing a box of malteasers or an easter egg!!):EasterBun

Littlekel, you are hilaious! Your DF can stay your DF as long as you want him to be! :p:D:p I can't believe you are getting to share an Easter egg either - my 'DF' was at home alone yesterday and I cannot find any trace of any Easter egg!! I think he's scoffed them both. Tut tut!

Yay, me! :T Multiquote! (Far too much effort though I reckon!)

ok, boss gone and can now tidy desk finally and update what I have done today which given circumstances is actually quite a lot!! Went in with kidney pain, had stones about 4 years ago and it felt the same.....after scan today turns out its not thank goodness but a hangover from my chest infection a month ago which is in the lung. Got antibiotics, painkillers and a follow up gp app next week to check on my weirdly high blood pressure.
    • visit to hospital, which cost me a shocking £4.10 in parking (although I did keep trying to hurry them along to avoid the next banding LOL
    • paid in £400 cheque from savings to cover extra out goings this week
    • got cheque from boss to cover expenses £79.99. Will have to remember to take home and bank tomorrow
    • Used nectar points to buy lunch and mucho 75% off easter eggs for treats this weekend. I now have £0.07p to last until Tuesday
    • Got my car insurance re-instated after bank mess. Well ok, not reinstated but after checking compare sites(via quidco to get my £1), current insurers still came up cheapest so decided to fight them on cancelling my insurance due to bank muck up. Lady was lovely and cancelled my cancellation fee of £50 so I only have to pay £19 which is fine then went through getting me a new policy set up and organising so I dont have to pay the deposit. Works out £4 a month cheaper than my original policy. Also need to chase them re the free MOT I got on last policy to make sure its included as they are a nightmare at paying out cashback via quidco so if I get that it evens it out iyswim
    • checked for freebies but none I can be bothered filling the forms in for.
    • Got free antibiotics and hefty painkillers through hospital rather than getting a prescription :o
    • didnt manage a NSD but it was lol - no option and I know the weekend will be!
    • updated spends via edit grid http://www.editgrid.com/user/angelflower/monthly_cash_spending_10
    • entered coke zone points
    • checked and cleared my junk email account.
All in a days work. Just finishing up and and heading home. Got last episode of Ghost Whisperer to watch tonight and then I think I will sleep long and hopefully pain free. Have a great weekend all.
