We only ever used to bring gifts form holidays for a few people. We stopped this many years ago for a few reasons one of them being the time we wasted buying things that they did not want and would never see again. We are also not big souviner buyers, only exception is if first time somewhere like this year will be visiting Egypt for first time so will buy something small.
Does anyone else not bring gifts back ? I would add we do not expect gifts from anyone either lol

I've never brought gifts back for anyone but me (and they were mostly from duty free
) I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

Funny enough so does hubby but I do not drink or smoke but have been known to buy the odd bottle of smelly stuff lolTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
Not usually...only if it's something for the kids that they would appreciate. Not for work colleagues.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
No never. There is too much pointless present buying as it is. Buying some useless tat from a holiday just adds to it. I can't think of anyone who would expect any sort of present just because we went away.
We do however get some wine when a neighbour feeds the cat. This is not a present but a thank you - there is a big difference. Even then we buy it from Tesco before we go.0 -
Not anymore, we used to do it, but in hindsight, who really wanted that carved wooden plate with a scene from a country they hadn't visited?
Send a postcard, yes, but these days we don't clutter up other people's homes with our holiday souvenirs.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

We don't normally, the only exception is some thing like chocolates if someone has been keeping any eye on post etc for us while we're away.0

Usually get a token edible gift for my parents and husbands Grandparents - some sweets or a box of biscuits or something like that. Parents look after my dogs, so I like to get something to say thanks, and the Grandparents just like getting foreign food.
Always get my Dad a huge Toblerone in the duty free as it's a long standing tradition. He'd adores it and everytime I've been away since being an adult, I've bought him a big Toblerone on the way home
Here I go again on my own....0 -
Thanks for replies, glad to see I am not the only one lolTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0

I wouldn't unless it was something the person would really appreciate, and if it is a 'thank you' it is something edible!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0
