No I don't work for them, why don't you and Donnie start your're own separate forum just to criticise people who are tying to help, seems like thats all you both care about.

Don't be a 'silly billy', this website is about saving money, not plugging your favourite store regardless of cost. :D

If you can illustrate that they are cheaper for the same product than anywhere else, we might take you seriously.

    Otherwise, stop spamming.

In addition, you created a link to a quite unsuitable machine, an 'underpowered' Netbook as opposed to a laptop.

Notwithstanding your accusations of criticism, I have posted links to suitable machines at quite reasonable price point. Quite unlike yourself.

£50 more than budget but decent spec http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/623164/TOSHIBA-L450D-13P

you'll struggle to find a decent laptop on the high street for that price. a netbook would be cheaper but depends on what exactly she would be using it for.
i'd keep clear of pc world

Did want to thank you for your amusing second link, but can't click on the TU button because of your link to Comet. :)

I take it the Apple Store is off-limits, then... :(

    Cartier and Chanel, too?

If there are relative bargains, then post them. If you are being silly, go play elsewhere. ;)

Bargains on Mac laptops are here. (It's where I bought mine, at a 31% discount.)

For Cartier see here and for Chanel see here.

You know where you can stick your other command. :grinheart

This is the 'Techie Stuff' board. If Cartier and Chanel were really bargains, they should go on the Grabbit board. Silly girl.

Silly boy! Both Cartier and Chanel make very "Techie" watches.

(And I'm sure the OP's daughter would be absolutely delighted to be decked out with some of their other "Stuff", too, obtained at bargain prices. :happylove )

But that, as you know perfectly well ;), was just a casual aside from my main point, which was that you can buy Mac laptops at seriously big discounts from the Apple Refurbs Store.

Money Saving, most validly, is about long-term economy and obtaining the best possible value for money, not buying the cheapest thing on the market and then needing to replace it a couple of years later – which usually works out more expensive than buying something of quality in the first place. :money:

Which is precisely why I only recommend products of good quality, not necessarily the cheapest.

Nevertheless, the Mac Refurb Store is not a suitable recommendation for this thread either. ;)

Have to agree whole heartedly. I think it is the best value around right now if you can stratch the extra £49. I just bought one to replace rubbish HP. It is much faster and installed software is better and less cluttered. Clearer display, good key feel.:T

The Toshibas in my link are within budget and are of equal specification....and are not from Comet. :)
