Need some help on an Orange upgrade...

...If anyone can help, fantastic!

Here's the current situation - I have 2 phones on monthly contract, and have had them both for 5+ years (for my wife and myself) through Orange.

Cant remember the plan names, but monthly spend is about £60-70 combined on same bill. Minutes are 60 p.m, texts 30.

Now - the fun part! One phone is out of annual contract in exactly a months time (the other in June).

My question is - when should i call customer services at Orange and see what they can do for me on the soon expiring phone, in terms of upgrades to stay with them. Now? In a months time? After that?!

I dont think I have a very good deal right now - my minutes/texts are very low for the money IMO, especially compared to 'new connection' deals.

Not too fussed about new phones, but if i got one I'd unlock and possible sell to offset costs I think... :)

Thoughts anyone?! Any help much appreciated!

Have a look around at phones and price plans now and see if anything appeals then go back to orange with your findings and see if they will match what you found, if not and you are prepared to leave orange or change number you have to give them a months notice which you can do in month 11.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Okay... cool, will do that for starters... what about PAC codes, when might that come up in discussion (ie when do I say 'I want to request a PAC') if they don't produce the goods in terms of a deal....

    :D Thanks so far!

When your contract is up call 150 and ask to speak to the retentions department. I'm sure they'll sort something out for you. I've had dealings with them and have found them to be very helpful

    Thanks Matrix.

I have been advised by a pal to do what you guys have suggested and call them now before the contract is up... see what they can do.

Vodafone have some amazing deals in the press right now, hopefully they can match them *crosses fingers* ;)
