And this is my savings pot that WILL NOT BE TOUCHED! It is sacred! So off to update my signature again, then on to the jobs and the rest of the day.Debt free wannabe: Original debt/Payments made/Debt now

Last musings for today...
My list of jobs were:
1. Find out CC interest rates. Done - and to my shock CC2's interest rate is a whopping 30.34%!!! Eeek - will be paying this one off as soon as poss. CC1 is a mere 2.5292% so this can be overpaid a little each month but will still be noticeable difference being made. Will be chopping up CC2 this afternoon too. Will keep CC1 for emergencies for now. But will prob look to get 0% emergency card once they are both fully paid off.
2. Clean the house. Done - apart from hoovering so that's next.
3. Probably relax and have a cuppa in the garden as the weather is, yet again, glorious! (At last!) Done a little bit - but I think I have more work to do there this afternoon! Hee hee!
4. Do some Onepoll surveys. Done - but there weren't any so will check back later
5. Sort through all the old bills and other paperwork. Get anything now not needed shredded and anything else filed. Am usually very good at this but a mountain of paper seems to have built around me lately! Yuck - am doing at the mo. Still yuck yuck yuck!
6. Did I add to have a relax in the sunshine? Again - a LOT more effort needs to be put into this incredibly hard Saturday afternoon job.
May also need to watch the Grand National as have had a very naughty little flutter this morning! Ooops!Debt free wannabe: Original debt/Payments made/Debt now

Is that 2.5% APR, or 2.5% a month? (This is a common trick...)
If it's MONTHLY the APR is still 30.5% or so!Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Any luck with your flutter?! Naughty naughty
Seems you've got lots done, it's really good keeping a diary - very addictive!! Great advice too, scary how much we pay in interest etc over the years that have gone by :eek:0 -
Hi choc! Well I had Big Fella Thanks 50p each way so made a whopping 1.25!!!! Sadly this was offset by my other bets so a loss of 3.75! Oh well! It's the one flutter I have a year! Seriously won't be looking at match betting as a fundraiser!
It's amazing how quickly you become aware of interst rates once you've decided to get rid of the debt! If only I'd been concerned earlier! Never mind!
I'll be back tomorrow with more twaddle!Debt free wannabe: Original debt/Payments made/Debt now

Hello All,
Well we've had a nice cheap day today. Have been for a nice walk around a National Trust site (we're members) and had a lovely picnic. Very MSE!
Not worried about money today which has been nice too. Get paid this week so I'm really looking forward to making some payments.
We found some more spare change this morning so we will be able to pay in some of the money I sorted through on Friday this week too. The credit cards are getting smaller!
Hope everyone has had a nice weekend and enjoyed the lovely weather. Off to do some sofa surfing now. Be back in the week to update.Debt free wannabe: Original debt/Payments made/Debt now
