Can someone please help me, there are two programs running havoc on my comp and I cant get rid of them, i am in safe mode now and XP Internet Security is playing up. The other program is Security Tool..I never installed either of these on the comp and I can not delete them no matter how hard I tried,
I finally managed to open malwarebytes and before it finished after 7 and 1/2 hours, a blue screen came up and the comp restarted itself.
I dunno wat to do next?
Reboot computer (or start it up) and keep pressing F8 to get into SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING
Attempt to UPDATE malwarebytes from there and run a QUICK scan
Post that log
Reboot and attempt to run HIJACK THIS and post that log:idea:0 -

The log looks clean though I dont know what this is:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Pnuyowizew] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\onenutowuwuqec.dll",Startup
I would suggest you remove it since it really shouldn't be running from boot from that file location. Might be worth deleting the actual file as well.
You really should update windows though!0 -
Malwarebytes must have got rid of everything..I am not sure what that thing is..how do I get rid of it. I tried to find it manually and delete it, but it said it can not delete as it is in use?
When I tried to update windows it said I need to install SP3 and Windows 8..is that what I should update?
Thanks0 -
Yep SP3 is a must have and it will be IE 8 which is also a must have.
Fix it with HiJackThis by
Re-opening HiJackThis and scanning again. Check the boxes next to that entry. Then click Fix Checked. Now close HiJackThis and reboot and go into safe mode.
Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\onenutowuwuqec.dll and delete: onenutowuwuqec.dll
Reboot.

Ok I did what you said, but there is a problem, first when it started it says it couldn't open rundll32.exe and also it won't open HijackThis and some other programs..saying that I should 'Open With' ..so I am not sure what is going on.
How can I open Hijack This?0 -
Click on this: EXE Fix to download a reg file fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it or right click it and choose "merge" and answer yes to the import prompt.
If you can't run the file do the following:
Press CTRL-ALT-DEL and open Task Manager. Once there, click File, then hold down the CTRL key and click New Task (Run). This will open a Command Prompt window. Enter REGEDIT.exe and press Enter. Once regedit is open click File>Import and locate that reg file fix, highlight it and click Open.0
