"Can I have a lend?" instead of "Can I borrow?"
Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.

My particular complaint is a single word often spelt wrongly on forums. It is paid not payed. What is wrong with people, its not diffcult.

Up here they just say, "Can I lend?" when they mean, "Can I borrow?" I guess the answer is "Sure, I am willing to accept unlimited amounts of money from you at zero interest!"

    .
An e mail to the whole of our sales force from the head of IT said 'by now you should of received your new laptops'. What I wonder is what do people who put 'of ' instead of 'have' think when they see the correct form written?

They think you've got it wrong. I had someone who did it lecture me about taking care with use of English.
