I was kicked off ebay about 3 years ago now, long story, it wasn't my fault it was the banks. I was wondering if i will ever be able to use e bay again, just moved house and have loads of things to get rid of.

If you didn't sort it at the time with Ebay then in their eyes you cannot get back on, you may wish to contact them to find out if they will reinstate you. Reading between the lines, did you not pay the fees?
You may wish to google 'suspended by ebay' for further info.0 -
I paid all my fees. I had numerous cheque books delivered after finishing my old one but i never recieved any and the people who i was buying off thought i was wasting thier time. I tried contacting ebay at the time but they didn;t want to know.DEBT FREE and not looking backTouring Caravan owner - my home from home

I think the only way of finding out is to try it. You may be open to someone you had a problem with in the past reporting you.I was kicked off ebay about 3 years ago now, long story, it wasn't my fault it was the banks. No one on here can really advise you without knowing what exactly your ban was for (presumably non paying bids?, if so how many?) and what was stated in the ban.
That makes no sense, why did you not receive cheque books that were delivered? Why did you not use another payment method?I had numerous cheque books delivered after finishing my old one but i never recieved any.0 -
Can't you just sign up with a new email address? I've got 2 accounts. Although one is just a posting ID for the boards...0

It is against the rules to use an account when you are banned or suspended on another. Ebay do catch you, it might not be for a while but they will get you. So all the time you are building up a nice little business on your account you are watching over your shoulder knowing that at any minutes you could lose the lot.
We've had lots of threads over the years where people have set up quite successful selling accounts and suddenly ebay ban them as they are connected with a previously suspended account, and if you have spent time and money on stock and are stuck with no account without warning it can hurt.
So it will almost certainly be possible to set up a new account with different details, different ISP bank details etc, but it won't last.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Why didn't you contact the sellers and pay via a different method (postal orders, Paypal, ank Transfer lots of ways). Doesn't sound like the banks fault to me. Don't you love it when people try to blame someone else for their own problems0 -
How can ebay connect a person called John Smith, ebay username johnsmith5678, from Birmingham with a bank account with the Nationwide and a Tesco internet connection, to a person called John Smith, ebay username johnsmith7896 from Manchester with a Lloyds bank account and a talktalk internet connection?

It;s all down to risk, we've had people banned because they are 'connected' to someone with a similar name in the same town or are house sharing. If you open a new account when you shouldn't then be prepared to lose the lot when you do get caught, maybe not this year but certainly at some point.
We had a newbie only a few months ago that was running a reasonably sized business and had the lot suspended overnight, he posted a thread because he just didn't know what to do, he had orders in transit, several hundreds of pounds tied up in stock and a mortgage to pay and it was 3 years previously that the original account had been suspended.
Also as a seller you need to ask yourself do you really want it too easy for people who don't bother paying for auctions to just start afresh?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
