Another vote for the turbo track. Mine spend hours entertaining themselves with it.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

Valo loves Da Bird, he's not as enthusiastic with it as some (OH's 3 cats broke it within days) but still does the odd 360 leap in the air for it.

His favourite though is those yellow capsules you get from Kinder Eggs, or clear ones from hair dye kits (that the gloves come in). Sometimes you have to throw them for him, other times he'll kick them around himself and chase them but he goes crazy for them. The only problem is they all end up under the furniture so they have to get fished out!

You may think this is slightly odd, but my 10-year old kitty Buffy has a favourite, very cheap toy. Applicator tampax in the shiny wrappers! She has been known to dig into my 'special box;' in the bathroom to grab them out, fling them round the house and chase them. Yes, it is embarassing for visitors, but very cheap!

Our cat Tish can't resist a piece of Lego left lying around on the floor! Pounces on it and kicks it around the living room like its a ball! (Hence nickname Tishy Beckham!)

Turbo track sounds brilliant though, might look into that.

Valo did that for a while! We couldn't figure out what he was chasing after at first, until closer inspection!!! Now they are kept firmly in the drawer :D

  • The one thing mine has never tired of in ten years is a furry mouse with a rattle inside it. Its "life size", looks like the real thing and she'll throw it about happily every day (and through the night..unfortunately, at times) for ages. It has to have the rattle noise though. No rattle noise and she loses interest.

They're really cheap, fifty pence each or something like that.

Second to the mouse is even simpler - a tiny piece of screwed up foil (ie foil from the inside of a ciggie packet).

I've spent a fortune on a variety of cat toys over the years - they either are ignored alltogether or played with for five minutes then ignored alltogether, and I've found the pricier and fancier the toy the less likely she is to be interested in it.
  • My 3 cats are absolutley mesmorized but this little radio controlled mouse we got from a cat fair. They could litlerally play with it for hours - me on the other hand gets very bored after about an hour of having to control the thing lol!:rotfl:

Yep, bit like kids really, buy them expensive presents and they are more than happy to play with the box and the paper!
Mine love the paper bags from Primark and any box will do.
Milk carton lids, Cilla has a thing for anything rubber( rubber gloves, balloons ) straws from MacD's, pegs... the list goes on!
