eeew - 2 years plus!
I guess it will apeal to people - I got 4.3% with them last year for two bonds (12 month and 18 month).
Managed to 4% for 15 months recently with another place.0 -
Yes i got 4.25% last year with Saga as i am of that "special age"
,for 18 months, but the rates seem to have gone rapidly downhill since.I have got an ISA i am looking to move(don't need the tax free bit as i am a non tax payer anyway)as i lose the 3.55% as from next week so it may well fit the bill nicely.
Here is the link to the west brom

Good rate on the two year ! .. Mind you i hhave a large amount of wedge (13k) in their instant access account, i wonder if they would considet that "New money" ? mind you if i threatend to withdraw it, ime sure they would find away ?

I think it is very unfair of any building society or bank to only accept "new money" They must be risking their own members moving their money elsewhere which kind of defeats the object!0

Possibly but I think the reason is different.
Consider me putting away money in 12 and 18 months last year. WB have sent letters for the 12 month bond maturing end of May to get me to sign up to a renewal once the bond matures. I have looked at what they offered and decided the rate is not good enough.
So they are now hedging their bets on the fund levels based upon how many people form previous year(s) want to keep saving with them.
Last year, they did have to raise funds because they were on brink of collapse.0 -
Likely to be a lot of WB 'old money' floating around next month when their last decent 1 year bonds mature.
Could be the Co-op or Coventry...0 -
suprised more people on here havnt shown an interest in the 4.15% for 2 years. I was going to put some dosh in there. Anything I'm missing here?

thanks for the heads up, btw do you know when this deal expires. i'm waiting for my monthly savings account to mature, of which i'd intend to transfer overSavings Target: 100K by 2015
Current Savings: £81,429,04 (Since starting my job as a postman - October 2008)0 -
No one knows,it will be when they are fully subscribed.I shouldn't imagine it will hang around at that rate though. When you apply online they ask for a cheque to be sent straight off with the application form.0
