Hi
I have signed up with Sky yesterday for their HD offer.
Free Line rental and evening weekend calls
Free HD box
Free Variety pack plus 2 extra packs
Free 2MB broadband
at £30 a month.
Salesman told that I don't have to pay a penny to BT now, but people are saying that you still pay BT a line rental which is around £11 a month..
I am confused.. do I have to pay BT or its all over from BT?
Thanks
Saad

You do not need to pay both line rentals.0

Sky do have a free line rental deal in which you would not pay BT anything for line rental. My advice would be to check with BT if you are in a contract or renewable contract before you make your decision. And this should also be moved to the telephone line section.0

Where did you get this offer from OP, sounds like a good deal.0

We have Sky Talk (free eve and w-end calls) but still have to pay BT for line rental! I'd rather not TBH so might look into it if I can save myself the £16 pm line rental from BT.Me, DH and DD (17 months) clearing our debt for a better future. Then (LBM) = £21,636.43 (Oct 2009) Now = £12128.07 (44%)GOALS/CHALLENGESTry to get credit card to £2k by April 2012 (was £3014.94)PADing to clear CC 1/1/12 TOTAL: £32.00Ditch 100 in January challenge: lost count but way over 100!!!/1000

you should also bare in mind that if you later decide not to subscribe to sky tv that you lose you phone and broadband connection and will then have to pay bt for a new line for the phone/broadband.Determined_2b_Debt_Free wrote: »We have Sky Talk (free eve and w-end calls) but still have to pay BT for line rental! BT's lowest plan is £11.54 so no need to pay £160
