    Morning all :hello:,

MSD - thinking of you hunny xx
GemmaBuckle - most impressed with your crafting! Do you do it as a sideline business or is it just for your friends and family?
    Welcome Lindy-loo
Essex-girl - you're not moaning, you've got many plates in the air atm and you're doing great!

I was on fire yesterday! Did not stop and have got loads done as a result. Slept extremely well last night! When I got home after work, I had the house to myself (an extremely rare occurance) so I just got on with everything - did the ironing, another load of washing, made lunches, started dinner, had a shower, blow dried and straightened my hair, and booked our accommodation for our holiday! And then DH walks in and moans because he forgot to get the milk I asked him to bring in :rotfl: He hasn't a clue!

So OS today is going to be limited to cooking cod and chorizo in tomato sauce tonight, and the ironing if I can be bothered!

Oh yes, while I'm on the subject of my holiday, does anyone know of a website or similar where I can work out the cost of petrol for our trip? DH wants to drive - I don't as he has a frighteningly short attention span! Being in a car with him for 5 hours is not something that appeals to me:eek:

Have a lovely day, hugs to all xx

    Hi everyone,

Diva, I hope thingsgo well for you.

There must be something in the air with lots of people complaining about sore joints etc. I couldn't sleep last night because my feet and legs were so painful, I had to take two different pain killers before I could sleep. My hands aren't co-operating on the keyboard this morning.

Must go and put the bedding on the spare bed for Sis in law who is coming this afternoon. I changed last night's meal, we had soup made with the ham stock from Monday. I also made tonight's meal, the last of the ham stretched out with veg in a tomato sauce with rice, so I don't have to cook later.

Try Michelin, you will have to change the km to miles and litres to gallons but it will plot a route and if you enter you car details it will give you fuel costs.

Morning all...............((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need one, thinking of MSD, hope all goes well today.

OH will not do as he is told and as a result he has a flare up of his costochondritis..........he drives me nuts at times..........wonders why I do not have much sympathy, but then with all the problems he has sympathy is something that comes in small doses at times.

The wind appeares to have dropped, it looks like it has rained during the night, but we have a nice sunny morning, so the wm is on.....quilting this afternoon, looking forward to that, did not go last week due to the road flooding.

Not sure what I am going to do this morning, I have a couple of jobs that could do with being done and I have some plants which need putting in, so might do that first.

    Spag bol for supper tonight...........

    Have a good day folks.................

    Morning OSers :)

    Thoughts are with Diva today.......

Gorgeous day here on the coast, the sun is out and it's lovely and warm. Didn't even turn on the heating last night and have windows open today, is Spring really here? Big job on the list today is to get the windows cleaned inside, they're not bad but are having blinds put up next week (fingers crossed) and would rather do it before than after.

There's also ironing to do from yesterday and some pots to sort out on the back patio. If I'm really good and get my jobs done I may make a trip into Wilkos to pick up a few things and get to the PO.

Dinner today is pork steak, salad and garlic bread - have a couple of the part baked baguettes so will slice and butter one of those before going into the oven. Like to keep them on hand as they tend to keep well for a very long time, and you can have 'fresh' baguettes (taking into account that "keep for a long time" and "fresh" don't go together, lol) at the drop of a hat :D

{{{Hugs}}} to any who are poorly in body or spirit.

    Hi again,

I'm waiting for a delivery before I can go to work.

Anyhoo I have changed the bedding and sorted the kitchen. I've prepared my lunch (HM soup) to take to work and I think I will sit down with a cup of tea and the pile of paperwork to sort out. I'm constantky amazed by the amount of stuff we get, most of it rubbish, especially as so much banking etc is done online these days. I need to ponder my mobile contract. It's due for renewal and I had a call from 3 yesterday. I told them I didn't want an automatic renewal as I was considering it. Hopefully I'll be able to negotiate a better deal.

    Morning all,

its a little bit overcast here today, I have a little bit of washing to do, but will leave it till tomorrow.

Hopefully going to ikea today, just need to phone my mum and see if she will have little dog for the day. I need to go and measure the blinds I want to buy. I also need to look at lamp shades.

Dinner tonight should be jacket spuds with chilli and salad, but will see what time we get in, might end up being Ikea meatballs.

Will have a quick tidy up before we go, have put rubbish and recycling out.

Essex girl, how sad for your poor driver, I hope he manages to drive again, and does not loose his livelyhood x

    Have good days all xx

    Morning everyone.
We've lost the sunshine this morning, so the washing will have to wait. I'm off to see the recycled teenagers tomorrow at the other end of the country, so there's a lot of tidying and sorting to do.
I didn't get my marmalade done yesterday, but I did get today's lunch made.
    Today's jobs -
    Declutter the bookshelves/ drawers
Bag up some stuff for the charity shop
Return my dvds to the library
Pick up the garden tiger's worming tablets
Frontline the GT (with OH's help)

Big hugs to everyone who needs them.

    Take care xx Dd

lowesy/Julie67 - my craftiness is for friends and family only - I'm not dedicated enough to do it as a business. I'm not ususally this far ahead, I just felt so bad that I had NO easter cards to send out that I'm in a bit of a crafting frenzy at the moment! Mini-books are like miniature scrapbooks - one I'm making out of an oversized card blank that opens kind of like a wardrobe. The other is just a little (6X6") book with about 12 pages in. Shimelle Laine is really big on them and she makes all sorts - pics on her site here: www.shimelle.com

    Hi all  ,

Hope everyone is okay and hugs to those who need/like them.

Not much for me to report really, I have been lurking with intent to post while at work but didn't get round to it, especially as I'm still awaiting my urgent ultrasound appointment (from the 1st April - d'oh) and I keep thinking as soon as I write a post, they'll call.

The bank holiday weekend was almost productive for me - I made a pan full of plum chutney with some plums that needed using up. I gave some to my housemate's dad (who has built us the frames for four raised beds! :D), some to a very nice girl at work who gave us a jar of blackberry jam back and one to my friend at work who is giving me a strawberry plant that she's raised from seed.

I also made a pie yesterday from some forgotten bacon (with a useby date of today) with some mushrooms and cream that needed using, chicken stock I had from my chicken last week and the pastry from the last of my stork from the freezer and value flour - it was rather nice and my housemate wouldn't leave it alone last night but luckily, we have enough for lunch today with salad, crudites and reduced hummous for me. And I still haven't spent the £1.80 left from the weeks grocery budget (earmarked for more milk and a reduced loaf) of £25 - not bad (IMHO) for a learner OS'er with a housemate that has hollow legs and has to have meat in every meal, sometimes even in snacks. :rotfl: I am learning! I still have a chicken left to roast too (with homemade stuffing - I had some bread from a reduced loaf that I wanted to salvage, some herbs and bacon) Now just to teach the housemate the same and NOT to leave the TV on when he wanders off to do something else

I even started the assault on the hordes of clothes I own (and never even worn some) but I'm still trying to figure my best option with them, some people say car boot and some have said it may not be worth the time and effort.

Anyhoos, if anyone can tell me of anything to do with sausages (I have a freezer full) that isn't a casserole, sausage and chips or toad in the hole, I'd be right grateful!
