Someone I work with got an N73 a week ago (on Vodafone).
The phone is quite small for a Nokia smartphone (same size as my i-mate SP5, though it looks bigger for some reason).
The camera is very nice, and protected behind a sliding door.
It takes four or five seconds from when you unlock the phone until you can take a photo, which is pretty good.
It has a flash and autofocus, and a decently big dedicated button to take a shot.
The photos are miles better than any other mobile phone I've seen, but still have a bit of a weird oversaturated blotchy look about them up close.
Definitely good enough for 6x4 prints though.
The videos it takes aren't as terrible as other mobile phones I've seen, but they're not good or anything.
The screen is nice and big and bright. Text and graphics look gorgeous.
It takes miniSD which is good (they're pretty cheap and go up to 2GB), but the memory card has stopped being recognised a couple of times after the phone has been jiggled about. You have to pull it out and put it back in again before it's detected again.
You'll need to buy a miniSD card: four or five photos at highest quality will fill up your internal memory.
The MP3 player is easy to use, and the included headphones are good enough so you'd actually use them... they look like they belong to an ipod.
The PC Suite sync software was a nightmare to setup. It didn't detect the phone on three separate PCs, and in the end Nokia had to send a troubleshooting guide (involving turning off antivirus software, and unplugging from the network before installing it).
There seem to be lots of complaints about the latest PC Suite software on the Nokia forums so maybe they'll release an update which is less temperamental.
I like it a lot. I'm probably going to buy one when they come down in price a little.0 -
The two 'main' phones in the N-Series have got to be the N80 and the N91.
The N80 is really the one for Video enthusiasts. It has two cameras as the main feature, and is more orientated towards taking photos, with different photo settings, flash, digital zoom after 3x, etc. It also has albums so you can categorize your photos.
Now the N91 is for those, like me, who are music freaks. 4GB storage, it's also got ID3 tagging capability, it can get the names of radio stations/music streams in real time, it's only got the one camera but still got many of the photo features of the N80. Advantages of this phone are the music playback keys, which can be used seperate to the phone. It has a larger screen (320x400 or something like that) with brightness control. and someting you'll find really useful is the hold-on-call feature. the music will pause when a call arrives, and start again when finished, so you don't have to waste time stopping it.
I'm getting the N91 (unlocked, not with a contract) today so can tell you more about it.
The N93 might also be worth a look, it's the top of the range, I'm getting one too (current price is around £580). It can record video in DVD quality, and also has many of the features of the N80. Only downside is that it's big,in part due to the fixed size camera module that sits on top of it.
If you'd like any more info on the N91 let me know, will have it later today and there's nothing better than getting a first-person prospective.
Cheers and take care.

I have the N80 and just love it. :j Ive had it about 2 weeks i think now and im still finding things out about what it can do. The best thing which is the reason i got it is the wifi connection. This allows me to use my wireless broadband connection to go on the internet without paying charges. So instead of having to take my laptop to bed with me i can just take my phone. I have downloaded ebooks on it and read them or check my emails, ebay etc.
It really does depend on your personal preferences but the wifi won it for me and i really like the slide type phones. I did have the Samsung D500 which was a great little phone (i dont think anyone will beat the nice smooth slide of that handset) but just doesnt have anything like the capabilities of the N80.
You can also do things like powerpoint presentations with it. You can create a home network with compatible devices etc.0 -
Can I still go in for the N73?0

I've seen on some blogs tht the TomTom has been made to work with the N70, which would lead me to believe that there's n reason why it souldn't work with with other N-Series phones.
P.S. I was doing some Googling and it seems it can work with the N91 also.
Cheers and take care.
