If you pay £10 for the top up plus £8.99 for the stick you have spent £18.99
Then you (might) get £10 cashback
I make that a cost of £8.99, not a £1 profit
ah right sorry i read it as you paid 8.99 and got the top up with itReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. You buy the £10 top up and when you spend your first £2 of credit you also get the 30 days free internet. The 30 days free is worth £15 itself.0

You can still get the Vodafone stick with no expiry in Maplin (well, you could 2 weeks ago) but it's £29.99 including 1Gb of data (£15 worth).0

Bought one and unlocked it using he same instructions in the 3dongle4free thread. Link to software and instructions here.
Plug dongle in without SIM card, when installed you can run the new Firmware program(using Windows XP). Took just over eighteen minutes using my Netbook.
One can still use the T-Mobile mobile management software to utilise the £2 for 30 day access promotion.
You can use the included 'generic' mobile management software for all other SIMs.
You can disable the start up of the T-Mobile management software using msconfig or CCleaner and also untick 'startup on device insertion' option within The T-Mobile software settings.0 -
Everyone who travels abroad with their Netbook/Laptop should have an unlocked mobile Internet dongle in their repertoire. Mine have proved most useful during my travels.0

Donnie, does this apply to the States as it usually costs us a fortune when we holiday there, plus hotels can charge what they like for internet access.
If so could you give me an idiots guide please of how to do this, many thanks.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

I think they did in post #17 ?
Ahh so do I just then use a sim card from the USA in the dongle....I am beyond clueless with this stuff but it'd be very helpful for others on the US threads because it costs a fortune. Cheers.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08
