I bought a Nissan Almera Tino in January 2009 from a car dealership. In June 2009 I had it serviced at a Nissan dealership and asked them to check the brakes as there was a grinding noise on the rear wheel. Feel the rear wheel(don't touch the disc!) when you park up.Is it getting warm?Sounds like your rear calipers are binding or you are driving with the handbrake on.
Rear brakes do a very small amount of the work and last much longer than the fronts under normal cirumstances.
