Do orange do instant credit checks online?

I know with O2 you place your order online it credit checks you at the end, I placed an order for a 3GS with Orange, got to the end of the order and it delayed for a while like O2 does when credit checking then it said something like, thank you for your order, it will be with you soon and to go an download iTunes etc etc, Has a credit check been done at this stage? I got an email saying.

The system will have done a check, it that's ok the order will go through. If there are any issues it'll get kicked to a credit referrals agent who'll take a look through your credit file and make a decision based on that.
