im on win 7 with avira and dont get pestered with UAC although i do get asked if i do want to install a program that i clicked on to install, also while im here is there a way to set every program to run as administrator ?
The only way I can think of is to enable the administrator account and use that as your primary login, its really really really not a good idea, you should run as least privledge or at least UACs elevatable least privledge.0 -
It's just happened again for the first time in two days.
Funnily enough when I look at Avira's Control Center it tells me the last update was 7/4 (yesterday). So it updated yesterday without UAC asking me!
The UAC Action Centre tells me that C\prog files(x86)\Avira\Antiv Desktop\usctool.exe wants permission.
So it appears one update overrides UAC but usctool.exe doesn't.0 -
I'm on Ubuntu tonight, but just had a look, I don't have a usctool .exe, only a wsctool.exe. remember I'm on 9.Move along, nothing to see.0
