well back again from my first little shopping excursion in nearly 12 months. Spent £24 but managed a kettle, toaster, 8 glasses, cutlery, plastic cutlery for cooking, two saucepans, shampoo and 4 mugs not too bad I dont think.

I did treat myself to a new handbag tho, from the market of course for a fiver so pretty happy. Now just need to get a set of plates and think that will be the kitchen sorted!

Also made it to the bank and the new account is now all set up, just have to wait for the cards, but not worried about that part!

now, what to do with the rest of this lovely day. Dont want to stay inside with everyone here but dont want to go out on my own either. Dang wish some of you were closer!!

Well done, Tony McCoy. I hate the National in some ways as I'm so scared for the horses and riders, but that comment about his daughter will be proud of him when she grows up brought a tear to me eye.

Argh work was so busy. Really hate call centre work!!

Need to find a night time job as it looks like they will be closing on Sundays (which means bye bye 7.5 hours wages):mad::mad:

Off to apply to the 24 hour supermarkets ...

I'm cool, hun, you? Just got rid of DD off to a birthday party and sleepover, and popping out to the garden in a bit to get my veggies in. Will be here or hereabouts, though.

Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying the sunshine. I actually went out in a teeshirt today YAY!!!! Trouble is the first bit of sunshine brings out in abundance all those people who really never should wear shorts. The old men with their long socks and varicose veins, and the really really big women who just cannot have looked in a mirror before stepping outside. <sorry, that was a big age-ist and size-ist, must work on my -ists>

Had a really fruitful day - changed the bed and hoovered everywhere, dyed my hair, cleaned the tortoises and changed their bulbs, played with the kittens, done a full shop, baked a couple of cakes for a party tonight, helped my dad cut back a huge hedge and painted a fence he put up for me a couple of weeks ago. Phew!! Now I have an hour to relax before getting ready to go out.

Munchki I'm in Sheffield - did you come up to Meadowhall? As it happens I wouldn't have had time to meet you today, but would have been nice. Maybe another weekend?
