Hi jo, well so far I've planted potatoes, cabbage and broccoli, and am at the beginning of digging over another area of grass (and bricks, broken glass, bits of toys, etc) - we found lots of worms today and the two youngest were picking them up from my hands and Georgie was giving one a kiss! It was so sweet! I love digging :)
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Done a quick google and found

Sure there are more out there too, and a lot of vegetarian recipes will be SB friendly by their very nature, I'd have thought.

Well done on the weight loss Evenstar!! you've done better than the rest of us put together lol!

Not sure I'd want to kiss a worm but that is really sweet Paula bless her!
Me and mum rigged up a sort of low fence from bamboo canes to (hopefully) stop Misty jumping/running/pooing on my garden-we'll see if it works.

    Hope evryones ok this evening

am feeling so under the weather and tired and disorganised that I am thinking I might need a bit of ready provided structure for this weight loss stuff but really want something that seems to fit in with my thoughts on food and general attitude so I can use it as a crutch till I feel a bit better then adapt it myself. south beach diet name really put me off but it is quite interesting.

    Gillian McKeith? Hehe!
Weightwatchers is adaptable, you can eat whatever you like so long as you stick to the number of points you're allowed. So for example, vegetables are 0 points, you can eat tons, so they would help you feel better maybe? The other extreme would be to eat all the WW brand processed ughhhh stuff they try to sell you xx

  • Its a start anyway
Last time I went to WW I lost 7lbs first week and 11lbs total in 3 weeks
Not doing quite so well this time and DD went shopping and bought 5 pk of curlywurlys, cadburys caramel(big bar) and some rockys as well as my WW lasagne (dont ususlly eat these but couldnt be bothered to cook)
Thought she had done really well lol....spent 7 quid....also got herself some gel pens from local £1 shop ...be lucky if they work
Anyway had a curly wurly and 2 squares from caramel....:o

Me neither :rotfl:it was so cute though!
Let me know if the fence works, I might need to do something similar, the friend with the garden has just adopted a dog and I'm concerned it will mess on the plants!

  • PS lasagne was horrible ....teach me for being lazy

Will do, we just put canes in about 2 feet apart into the ground and then tied some more horizontally to them with string fingers crossed.

NIX!!!!!!! my mums just phoned and they have printed your PR write up in the local paper...typical the one week I didnt buy it..I'll get a copy tomorrow and scan it and email it to you :-)

Jo, the silence appears to be deafening. I just sorta curled up on my bed with a teddy bear for a bit and well, just 'was' for a while.
