Glad to see i am not the ony one who has a total muppet for an OH. How someone can be so nice then such a t0sser in the same hour is beyond me. If he tells me he works one more time i will throttle him.

me : Can you sweep the floor
    him: but I work!
me Can you do the dishes
    him but i work
me can you put out the rubish
    him but i work!!!

I really want to slap him sometimes

and in my house the conversation goes the other way following comments like above....

    him - wheres my dinner
    me - can't be bothered
him - but I;ve been at work all day
me - I';ve been at work all day too, and done the kids, and cleaned the house....
    him - *sulk*

Put your foot down lilac.... or just don't do stuff.... I find not washing/ironing his clothes works quite well.... its not hard to do but time consuming and they (well my OH) get in such a tizz when they can't find this clean or that clean!!!

Off to have a quick cuppa before the day really begins!

Just wanted to say, the dribble is keeping me goiong, it's like normal conversation where you find out a little at a time about people and it's cheering me up right now. I'm beyond unmotivated but hope to fix this, and if anyone knows anything about fixing confidence, the deep-down kind, I could use it. I'm very up-and-down and can't get rid of that voice in my head that keeps telling me every single little thing I do or say is !!!!!!. Love you lot for being so funny and entertaining. Well done Nixi by the way, and MummyP, you are so determined and positive, ace :) will PM you later maybe or when I get proper chance, have a great day everyone :) xx

    Morning Mambury *waves*

Hi all-its a lovely sunny day here again-doesn't it just make you feel so much better?! Up and about and ready for another day of making the things that shall remain nameless ;-)

We had that yesterday - gorgeous day, had planned a lazy day but because of the sunshine was actually quite productive!! We still have a hint of a blue sky today too -woohoo!
At last there is life! The list just keeps getting lnoger and longer, got more to add! I will do it all though! The theory is, that if I put it on here I will have to do it to save the embarrassment of admitting I have done diddly squat all day!

I shouldn't be mean to OH really, he had a stroke 3 years ago and has starting getting a funny head again, probably not tool to researhelped by the hole he put in it 2 days ago when he dropped an anchor on it, but he is just such a kn0b sometimes!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:love the last comment Mabel! Will have to remember that one! Good luck on the wotsits today!

MummyP - how is your OH now after the stroke? Has he managed to regain/relearn everything? Sounds like he is doing fantastically well considering!

Mabel - had an idea re researching the unmentionables/pricing/popular designs- can you utilise NLIDs tool for ebay? Not sure if you are already helping him, but if not it could be some good product research too!

great idea Nix-I am 'helping' NLID so I'll have a bit of a nose :-)
  • Nixi - he only like a small stroke, I say only like that makes it better! Scariest day of my life, he just woke up one morning after a bad week of headaches and couldn't move his left side. He was right as rain again after a week, his only problem is that is has all but killed his sense of touch in his fingers, you can pinch him and he barely feels it. He has started getting the headaches again, which is worrying, but with a 30 a day habit that he refuses to address, I am not suprised. I think recovery comes with time, like I said, he only had a small one, but it took him the best part of a few weeks to regain control and feeling over everything. Logic would say that if the stroke was bigger, the recovery would be longer, but day by day things did return to normal, the only exception being his hands. It doesn't stop him doing anything, except, well, the ummm, more delicate things, but we don't need to go into that one!

Paula - I am most definately not organised/motivated, I just try to be though but trying and actually doing/being are two very different things!

Paula - I am in awe of your talents the sulkies are fab! Please don't doubt yourself. I think sometimes we all have so much going on that because we don't have time or chance to devote ourselves to one or even two or three thing it is easy for the self doubt to kick in, but you are a very skilled and talented lady, don't forget it!! Its just that life has a habit of getting in the way!

Feel bad here, I usually get -

Me - I can't be bothered/I'm to tired to go in the kitchen
    OH - takeaway then?

Sometimes I agree other times when I know how much we have already spent that month I end up going and doing something on toast!! :rotfl:

OR (and this one does annoy me!!)

Me - I can't be bothered/I'm to tired to go in the kitchen
OH - I'll grab a bowl of cereal then, that will do me! (Er hello......I cook your dinner every night what about doing something for me??????)
