Jo, there is no amount of money in the world that can make times like those doing the simple things with our children more precious then what they are in the simplest of forms

hmmmm not sure that makes sense but I know what I mean!!

  • We had a hailstone downpour yesterday and had frost forecast, so we're being careful about what we're putting in the earth/greenhouse at the moment. Still, it's so good to start the growing, I love this time of year!

    Jo, thank you. x

Awwww Cagne we luvs ya!! Just glad youre feeling better. I think we dribblers have got past the pointless arguments now, just make our point and move on so everyones opinion is valid! We've managed politics and religion without arguments lol.

The gardening programme is good but I'm finding the woman a bit annoying!

I can start an arguement if you like....apparantly I'm quite good at it. It's the celtic blood you see!

oh yes, and I do have a dongle, but have not used it in a long time, not even sure if it still works......so not sure if I will be around after tomorrow or not for awhile. Going to have to find it and try it out in a little bit!! Goddess, I would be lost without you lot!!

    *snigger*

Mambury - enjoy your chill time, you deserve it, sounds like a lovely SIL, can't complain about mine, she is lovely, although she does worry me sometimes. She asked last week if it was more expensive to get a lottery ticket from the corner shop or should she go to Tesco to get it. :rotfl: Least OH will be home at the weekend, could be worse x

Munchki - that dongle had better be working, don't make me hunt for my phone :D bet you are :j:j:j

Yes he is home at the weekend but then he is working on the extension.... Oh, and SIL, don't get me started, but this is the woman who has told her OH that she would choose her horses over him. Coming from a family that is paying the mortgage on the CC..... I can forsee a BIG fall coming and probably a very unhelpful I told you so!

Nixi - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=18713561&postcount=14 I tweak it a little, bit less oil make the difference up with milk! Very dangerous, but sometimes a little danger does you good!

Cagne - well said that man!! Thats the thing I like about you lot.... we can all say what we like and stil remain cyber buddies!

Paula - BIG HUGS.... thinking about you and grandma.... I;m here if you need me.

Toots - I wish he was away on a regular basis or not at all. Its the short notice that !!!!!!s me up. There have been times where he would call to say I'll be home tomorrow and then it turns into a whole bloody week. The sad thing is the kids are getting used to it now. I really need to pull my finger out and get some money rolling in to let him work more locally.

I think I;ve covered all of you....

My cake was lovely, I feel sick and slightly guilty that I've not acheived as much as I would have liked today but hey ho.....

Off swimming with DD in the morning, so I won't be about until later....

    Night guys!

    Munchki,
I know what you mean. I wasn't worried about needing money to do things with the kids as such. just its a bit of a timing thing and need to make what we have stretch a couple of days longer and it got pretty bare in our cupboards. was just feeling that if we were going to be at home all day then it would be good to have a bit more food available for snacks etc.
just felt a bit hemmed in as only food needed oven cooking so couldn't do a picnic and go off. but when we are at home they always want yoghurts and stuff. anyway we all got enough food and DH has put a small shop on his CC which is not good but will get paid off when my cafe money comes on friday.

Thanks for the hint about frost Toots. our beans and courgettes are inside for now - only potatoes outside.

well as they came from the potato council (or something like that) at the end of feb and were outside in a bag for 2 weeks before we realised they'd arrived, think they'll be lucky to make it anyway!!!
