how far away does he work? Its not nevermind btw, it does matter, a lot. I do know how you are feeling, my OH is rarely back before they go to bed and is almost never still here when they get up. I know it is not the same, but still all day everyday just me and the kids. Has he tried looking closer to home? My Dad made a good point when looking for work closer, he was willing to take a paycut because it equated to the travelling, the petrol, the eating away from home and all the other bits. Would that work for your OH, or is his type of job a hard one to find?
Big huggles and virtual choc. Don't suppose there is any family nearby, just to have them for one dya after school and dinner them every now and then to give you a bit of me space?
erm.... no chance of a job nearby that pays what he earns. The only other jobs nearby are in the building trade that is a bit iffy to say the least and would mean about a 30% cut in wages and we really couldn't afford that. No family either, apart from OH's sister who is so selfish you wouldn't believe (puts horse's before her own kids and OH:eek:, anyway thats another subject LOL!) .
The only way for all this to change is either
a - my business takes off to a point where he can work locally and take the pay cut
b - he gets made redundant and insurance pays the mortgage for a year
c - I go to work , which would mean taking DD out of nursery and sending her to a Child minder instead of nursery. Even then I wouldn't be able to work full time as there would be no one that could pick DS up from school....
At the moment OH is staying about 300 miles away. He is a contracts manager so travels all over the country, regularly driving 600 miles a day. The company pay for the car and fuel so thats not a worry but the hours he does are (approx 60+ a week!)
There we go my whinge and moan over and doen with.
BTW - I read the 'other' thread..... toys out of pram or what! Still, its a shame that people can't live and let live eh....sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0 -
totally agree with everyone else NLID - read the post and jesus that was a toy throwing moment. Seems to be a lot of support for your site and i truely believe this could do you well. Although on the other thread i did notice the comment about eby going after you because of the name. This actually happened to a friend many years ago when trying to create a site so please be wary about it. Ebay has a funny way of working:j:jDribbling my way to financial success:j:j
