yep Em - it makes sense. I'm struggling to keep up a bit too so my posts are pretty bland at the moment. I want to still participate but a bit too tired to really join in.
hope it all eases off for you soon. that bookcalled the now habit was quite good for making more time or the feeling of more time.
one of the things I took from it which is probsably irrelevant to you at the moment was to make decisions rather than non decisions. eg you think you should do the ironing but you keep puttingit off all day while you watch telly/ surf the net/ text etc. you feel gulty about those things and they are only low level fun. you don't make a decision to not do the ironing or to spend the day doing something fun so its kind of doubly wasted and you feel guilty and inadequate. instead why not make a positive decision and recognise the implications of your decision and accept them and then actually do something enjoyable.
if you tell yourself that you are going to iron soon then you woulkdn't leave the house and go off walking/ swimming etc for the afternoon. instaed you will do other stuff thats fairly mundane but not the ironing.
so try to turn procrastination into decisions. I am not going to do the ironong today which means it won't be done and ready for the week ahead. instead I will have to do some each morning for the day ahead. now I am going to go out and enjoy myself. or I really don't want to get up early every day to iron so I am going to do it now and then do something fun.
Either way you look at what your decision will mean and decide which way to go rather than spend hours in no decision mode with low levels of enjoyment and high levels of guilt and stress.

Skint a few people do sell on folksy and have made sales through the dribblers but I don't know how it is for sales otherwise.
Hi Amber. really hope airspace is open for you. my brother is supposed to be flying out to a new job tonight but doubt it will happen. got to get from majorca to gatwick and then gatwick to somewhere I'm not sure of.

Thanks Jo - that's certainly one of my pitfalls - i spend a lot of time putting things off and feeling guilty for doing so. WOW. You've explained that so simply that i feel that a lot of my problems are solved! I don't tend to put too much off these days but those things i do, i feel guily about for hours - and in that time i could've comepletd the task! You're more than Joprah - you're Joprahmckenna

by the way Em I wasn't saying you procratinate just that I found that bit of the book interesting. I was putting off making a phone call to someone I didn't even know cos I was worried they'd think I was incompetent. then I made a decision to accept that they might think that but as they knew very little about me I wouldn't allow their view of me to make me feel worse about myself. not ringing them would make a situation drag out and not get sorted. so I did it remebering that my self worth didn't depend on them and after all the procrastinating it was fine and they were really friendly.
It felt more mature to make a decision one way or the other than just have it hanging around me being ignored but still stressing me.
I try to make decisions a lot more now and have less non decisions. but I often forget.

hhhonlyfan - each to their own - as long as you have your own reasons, that's all that's needed
Nobody has the right to slate you. (even though i don't agree lol) x NOT that i'm voting labour either! x
Jo - thanks - you're pure genius! You have the talent of putting the most complex issues in simplified terms. I wish i could refer to you all day long though as i forget! xxxJust £10,852.28p to go...
