Bed-wetting problem

DS2 is 2 and likes to 'play with himself' but he hasn't learnt to tuck himself back into his nappy. It's not so bad when it's his toddler bed but he often climbs in with me and I find myself waking up in a puddle and having to wash a full set of superkingsize bedlinen, duvet etc ...!
He's not yet talking and the nursery staff agree that he's months away from being ready for potty training. He's also a demon with zips, poppers, velcro etc and overheats easily so can't wear more than a 't'shirt in bed.
Any ideas on how to make it more difficult for him to pull it out in the first place because I'm sick and tired of washing the bedclothes.

Keep him out of your bed or make sure he is tucked in before he gets in?

Let him sleep with a towel underneath him?
Also try to persuade him to sleep in his own bed (needing a cuddle or being poorly excepted) I only say this as dd has only recently slept in her own bed happily, she's 7!
:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly0 -
What about putting nappy on backwards so it is higher cut at the front, then it may be trickier for him to get inside his nappy, or if he still can then the higher cut may still keep it covered iyswim. Just a thought.0

My son used to take his nappy off in the night. I found back fastening sleepsuits really helped. Vertbaudet are about the only place that does them in 2-3 size and they do pure cotton ones that are quite thin. Also a friend at work used to masking tape the nappy on!0

Keeping him out of my bed is difficult due to my mobility difficulties, as is constantly returning him to his own bed.
There are towels, blankets, absorbent pads etc under everything, but he moves a lot and likes to sleep on top of the duvet some of the time.
We've tried the nappy on backwards and different styles of nappy and pull up but not found one which comes up high enough.
I like the idea of the back fastening sleepsuits but he would need 3-4 year old sized suits, problem is that by that age they're expected to be potty trained so the clothes are designed for 'easy access' which is exactly what I don't want LOL
(I'm considering superglueing his bits together at the moment, he's poorly and sat on my lap having a cuddle and I've just narrowly escaped being doused... again...)Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

My mum used to wind sellotape around the top of my nappy, covering the sticky tabs so I couldn't open them!
I have no idea how she got the nappy off me though... Probably just quickly snipped at the tape and tore it, but to be fair apparantly I was a very quiet toddler who always lay still at nappy changes so it probably wasn't difficult for her to do that...

:rotfl: I think I'd need to use gaffer tape to keep his hands out of his nappy, it is his favourite toy LOLEat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

can you not just pop his toot back in before you go to bed?You may walk and you may run

You just keep on walking0 -
I do check him before I go to bed but if he wakes during the night, or before I do in the morning, he pulls it out again. Last night I popped it back in about 6 times between 10pm and 7am. My mobility issues are such that I can't keep putting him back in his own bed so if he creeps into mine I don't sleep well as I'm listening for every fidget! Last week I had to change his bed three times and mine twice (not so bad so far this week - fingers crossed).Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
