Garage conversion

I have just had an offer accepted on a house with a garage conversion. Much more useful to me to have the extra space than the storage. I will be getting the loft boarded and there is a big garden shed. We have a big double garage at the moment and it is indead full to bursting, but most of the stuff is just junk TBH.0

Have just finished clearing out the garage. Once completed I was amazed at how little of the stuff I had in there was of any value. Power tools etc can now be stored in my boiler cupboard and the rest can go in the shed. Don't think I'll miss the space too much and it will encourage me to stop hoarding junk that stays in there for years.......0

the people that were doing garage conversions whilst this thread was being discussed - have you finished them and are you pleased with them - did they come in on budget?
we have planning permission for an extn but building inpsector talking about us maybe having to dig down in excess of 3 metres - costing an absolute fortune in concrete adding around 5 - 6k to building costs - an alternative maybe to look at is converting the integral double garage instead which leads to a bedroom - could maybe remove the wall and make a huge kitchen dining room
thanks1
