Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of moving ISP, from NewNet to BT.
I got a MAC from NewNet on 07 March and gave it to BT the same day. However, because I knew that I had to pay for the NewNet service up until 22 April, I asked BT to transfer the service over on that day.
The MAC from NewNet is due to expire on 07 April, so does this mean that my transfer will not take place, because it's due to happen after the expiration date? Or, will everything go ahead as planned because I've already given the code to BT.
I'd be grateful for any advice you can give me!

The MAC code only needs to be given to the new provider within 30 days it should not matter if your activation date falls outside the 30 days.0

That assumes that BT have processed it through to Newnet before expiry tomorrow. I didn't think it was possible to specify an exact migration date, it happens when Openreach have an available slot.
I would check with BT or NewNet, but suspect you may have to re-obtain your MAC from 8/4 on and resupply it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Ok, thanks for your advice.
Will contact BT to see what's happening - maybe they're sitting on the MAC until close to the migration date, and haven't processed it yet.0
