  • Hi I'm new to the forums, and having a good look around - what a fantastic site!

I've just seen this thread, and absolutely love Ebay, I'm always buying and selling.

Anyway I've never heard of Goofbay before, but I do use auction snipers all the time, and the best two I have found are auctionstealer.com always ALWAYS works for me and I've been using it for a couple of years now. The only downside is that you only get 3 free snipes a week but you can buy more if you wish.

Also another good one I use (if I've run out of Auction Stealer snipes!) is justsnipe.com

    Hope that helps someone!

Very angry with goofbay. It hasn't worked for me before on important purchases and last night I set it to bid for me but it didn't bit and I would clearly have won as the item sold way under what I bid!!

Same happened to me recently - I will never use Goofbay again as I cannot trust it.

    Hi

Does anyone know if you can receive email alerts from ebay for an item which becomes available to bid on? I have just lost an ebay auction for something I really wanted and would like to know if ever another one comes up for sale.
  • I use Goofbay all the time and it is an excellent tool.

Of course, you need to actually read the small print to understand when it will and wont bid and other details.
