Is Goofbay 'snipe' tool working OK for you?

There's an eBay item ending tonight that I MUST have! :D
I've never used a sniping tool before and I've heard of some 'failures' on here, but I'm going to manually snipe with say £50 with about 10 seconds to go after setting the Goofbay snipe for £52 at 5 seconds or less.
Does that make sense? :o

yes it does i do it quite often when i REALY want something bad! lol You won't outbid yourself as long as you use the same ebay account the sniper is set up for.

I have found goofbay spot on.

I can set up my buying (usually 5+ items pre day) in not time and then check in the evening what I won.

Never a problem, just remember to think about what the increments will be and what look like "natural" bids - the items I buy are typically £80, so I bid £82.50 + as a snipe.

I find it very hit and miss. It has failed to bid for me a few times - I use Gixen now.

I'm just hoping it will be 'first time lucky'!
My manual bid will be very close to auction end too, so I think I'm covering all eventualities.
It's an unusual item so yes, I'll put in 'odd' amounts like £52.78!

I used it 3 times on Saturday, first 2 were fine & I won, the third closed before the sniper got in. All set to 5 seconds before the end. I'm not too sure how it missed the third.
    Good luck.

sorry to hijack this, but can I just ask a quick question about goofbay too. Just wondered if anybody had used the "Not in Title Search", on Goofbay, because it I can't get it to work. It never comes up with items that have the word in tha I want.
