lately ive been aware that some things really have to change in my life. my focus is on my future now and my first goal to be debt free. certain influences in my life have a negative impact on my ability to focus on the things that i really want.
i have made a list of my longterm goals and the things i have to do to reach them. i have been taking stock of my life recently and have made a list of all the things that have to go.
- people who discourage and make negative comments about me and my debt free aims.
- the drink has got to go...i dont drink much maybe not even every week, but i have noticed that drink brings me down and effects the way i see things.
i have also made a list of things i want to do to help me on the road to freedom so to speak.
- keep learning new things all the time
- learn about how to invest my money when i am debt free
- find ways to reduce my budget a bit more and pay off the debt quicker
- keep listening to my motivational tapes to keep me inspired
- keep going with my ou study (very apt as i am doing a course on change)
these are just a few examples of what are on my lists.
i want to be in a really good position financially and emotionally when i reach my DFD next year. so that i can take advantage of all life has to offer me in terms of happiness and financial independance, which i believe are connected.
wish me luck

Well done JD. Obviously you had a LBM regarding finances. Now you are getting one for the rest of your life. It's amazing what this DFW board can bring about.

JD These are the people who will be coming to you for advice in a few years time.
"How did you manage to get out of debt JD, because we are in so much debt ourselves now?"
You need people around you who will encourage you and support you. You have only to look at the spiral of debt in the UK at the moment and realise that in a few years time, we will be looked upon as the sane ones who did the right thing at the right time, while everyone else wallows in debt.
Keep it going and here's to the rest of your positive thoughts. :beer:Debt at worst: £33000
