Quinn-Direct - Anyone heard of them?

Having read an artical on them the other day it did say that they were being so profitable in Ireland because they have a very different claims operations setup to the other Irish insurance companies and so a better operating cost. I wonder how their setup compares to the UK markets? Dont know if anyone knows? Could just ask our R&D team

I've just had someone 'key' my car to the tone of £600+ and when I tried to phone Quinn (who I'm insured with) for annon advice they wanted my policy no. When I explained that I didn't want to give it to them as it shows on my file and I just wanted general advice they said that their claims department wouldn't speak to anyone without a policy no.
Have decided I won't be claiming as it's going to almost double my insurance premium next year, will also affect the year after as I'll lose my no claims bonus and will have to wait another 6 months (unless I change insurers) before I can start collecting no claims discount again.
I just hope they catch the person/people responsible. They damaged mine and another person's car and wrote obscenities on the bonet.
Why is unsurance so much hassle???!!!
