Weezl and friends Phase 2 -giving it a whirl for Shirl! Testing meal plan for a month

re the cheese balls suspect these may be better hot...will have a try as had to make rice for fussy cat who is off her cat food....will report back then weezl!
Dont be despondent people if things dont work all the time. I started pre debt buying ALL my food in m&s and ready meals; then gradually tested with recipes and now happily chuch stuff in BUT evennow I get it wrong - did carrot soup the other day and it was so bad it had to go down the drain as would have had to add gallons to make it edible (waaaay to much curry powder)...so dont give up. Knowledge is power; educate to elevate being two of my fave mottos - to get the knowledge ya got to venture out of comfort zones into unfamilliar territory but that surely is part of the adventure?
ooh yes...re homemade bits here is a recipe (from chalky who posts on knit your square) fr some yummy bath oil...weezl has a batch but unsure if shes tested it yet?!! Very moisturising and smells yummy plus the house smells delicious while cooking it plus uses the orange peel!

sounds like my carrot soup about a month ago - was just nasty!! but the carrots needed using up - i was totally annoyed about the wasted effort and my stupidity for not tasting!!
actually that is a point - did it get put in shirl's guide to taste stuff all the time whilst cooking?it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -

the bath oil is very nice. It contains Myrhh. You want to worry when your nice friend gives you a bath oil containing embalming fluid....
You wonder what she's trying to say......;)
testers you have gone quiet! Have I killed you? Come baaaaaaaack!

I am doing mine when i am told so that will be sunday :rotfl:will prob do as an evening meal as i am working during the day. Hope that is ok with you:) (the timing of the meal not the working)
Had the risi bisi tonight ex first comment when he saw it was "what the **** is that" when he tasted it he thought it was lovely and would happily have it again. I had to make mine with sweetcorn as he wouldnt eat the dried peas (i didnt buy them) but. it was tasty. Day 4 just about over and so far so good for me anyway. Off tomorrow so def going to do the bread and will try for the carrot cake as well. Also have to make the pizza dough or will have nothing to eat at night. Made Mr Frankies soup so will be having that instead of the planner soup.
Hope everyone is ok it has been very quiet i hope people havent gone and got a life without first discussing it on here. I know i havent:rotfl:0 -

will you have time to poach/roast the chicken and then make it into the pie all in the day on sunday shanks? Was just thinking that might be a bit much and you could roast/poach it while you have the oven going tomorrow for some pizzas?
Soooooo amused by ex's reaction to the risi, but you showed him eh lass? Well done
So it works well with sweetcorn? That's good newsI'll include that as a tip for those who don't like marrowfats :T:T:T
When will you hear about the job?

Was planning on doing the chicken tomorrow so it was just a case of cooking it on Sun will get ex to cook it but he baulks at the thought of doing anything to do with pastry apart from eat it.
Thats a WE showed him and yes it was interesting to watch.
Not sure when i will hear thought i might have today as the last interview was Wed pm but will wait and see.
The sweetcorn was lovely in it bought that instead of the marrowfat but made him have frozen peas with the onion pie last night and he ate it with just a hint of a moan. I am sure he will be delighted that he is getting some meat on Sunday havent told him yet so it will be a surprise.
Do we have anything with the pizza tomorrow i cant remember? Thanks xx0 -

Well thats ok with me but might have a bit of a mutiny from him with no meat and nothing else might do some wedges to shut him up (any other suggestions to shut him up gratefully received tried and tested methods only thanks:rotfl:)0 -
You lot move too fast, it's taken me three evenings to catch up! Hopefully there'll be opportunity for testing some things in the wolf house this weekend.
Allegra I absolutely loved your "why I'm doing this" postSealed pot member 735
