Hi how come you lot are never around when i am on and when i go away you all post like mad? Are you trying to tell me something in a very subtle way:D Cause its not going to work you know no matter how hard you try.
Made a double batch of bean pate tonight to take up to friends (1 has tried it already and loves it the other hasnt yet so will await her verdict). Also made carrot cake to use up the ones going a bit foosty. (Dont panic Weezl they are still ok). For some strange reason i dont have a baking tray however got enough muffin tins to start a shop so this time i made them in paper cases and they came out great. I did a half batch and it made 22 cakes so better than the 16 slices i was expecting and they are a reasonable size and already portioned out. Might be helpful for Shirley.
You might need to get Shirl to blanch her carrots and freeze as mine are a little past their best now. Also might be handy to tell Shirley what can be frozen in case she is not sure ie the apple curd, pate etc so if she wants she can use all her apples at once and freeze into portions.
Speak to you all tomorrow we have less than a week to go:T

weezl In case it's any help cause my family didn't like the Bean Pate, I put it in the Chilli that I made and then just added tomatoes as normal. It tasted really nice.
Just an idea of what to do with something I had left over.

I had to throw my apple curd away yesterday. I was planning to do some kind of crumble ...or something...with it, but I didn't get there quick enough.

Also some carrots...but I still have loads of potatoes and onions and they have stored really well.

My bread is going really well and though I've had to use a frozen loaf a couple of times, everyone seems to be happy to carry on with the home-made :)

We're not eating on-plan tonight, but are still being frugal.
Early on - I think in week 1 - we went out for an Indian meal with our friends. There was loads left over so we brought it home and stuck it in the freezer. So, an almost free dinner tonight. I'll just have to do some rice to go with it :)

Peeps, i have to say this, your all stars!!!!
Thank you all very much for helping me out with all the quieries, silly answers etc over the past month. I really and truly appreciate it :).
Weezl, i don't know how you managed to do it all, but :T well done. Now have a break woman!!

I've really enjoyed this past month, especially the prep and planning, and learning new ways on how to cook esp with the roux. Lots of the recipes i will carry on making as we all really enjoyed them.

If they is anything i can do, such as writing a piece of info on a recipe please let me know.

    Thanks all x
