Dismissed on sick leave due to false allegations

I mean if you say you were made `redundant` and it is not true and the new employers check with the original employers there will be some anomalies in the story.0

For it to be harassment, there has to be an element of repetition.I personally would not contact the colleague under any circumstances otherwise it could be construed as harrassment.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. One incident can be defined as harrassment and by the sound of things, OP's ex-employer would probably make sure it was construed as such.Opinion, advice and information are different things. Don't be surprised if you receive all 3 in response.

Yeah see what you are saying. To be honest I was in a similar position to the OP, unable to get a job so it was lie or never get a job again. In my case there was no comeback, that was 7 or so years ago now. So its maybe worth a shot considering the alternative??0 -
The thing is I am so honest and straight down the line, I obey by rules thats why I cannot believe these allegations against me. It goes against everything I stand for. I could not lie about being dismissed I would constantly worry I would get found out.
What happened about references from old employer though, surely this would state dismissed for gross misconduct?
A few of the agencies that will work with me are trying to get references off the old employer but they are not responding. I emailed them and they said if they receive a request by letter the policy is they will reply within 10 days. I know this is not so. At least they know I am onto them and I will be back on the chase now if they do not respond. If they do not mention dismissal on the reference which I think will probably only be dates employed and sickness, which wont be good due to my op, then I may be able to say something other than dismissed, however this is risky and it may just makee things so much worse for me. I could start a job and when the reference arrives get dismissed again for lieing. If my case does go to tribunal it wont help this any either.
I have just chased the solicitor up as I have heard nothing. They have now extended the date to 19th of april. I am so angry. I can see time running out for me. I feel sick with it all. Even the legal insurance and solicitors seem to playing games with me now. My mental state is suffering, I just feel everyone hates me and has got it in for me. You should contact a No win no fee solicitor (employment law) if your home insurance will not cover the costs then the solicitor can arrange for an insurance policy to be taken out (you dont pay for it - they take it from their fees when you win the case) In the case of a reference from your previous employer I believe that they cannot (by law) write anything derogatory about you. You could also contact the HR dept of the company and ask if they could write a to whom it may concern letter just stating that you were employed from this date to that date in the position of - which they can do. Hope this info helps in some way -good luck0

Hi Boopopps,
Have you got a copy of the sickness policy and disiplinary policy because having reread your first post, there seems to be so many areas where management have not acted correctly. Get them emailed to you and go through them with a fine tooth comb. Things like salary being stopped, telephoned at home repeatedly, attendance at meetings while off sick etc etc.
Do make sure you have some nice things factored in during the day because you are low ++ and you need survival tactics right now! Stick to what was said yesterday by another poster about shoing that the investigation was " incomplete and unreasonable". Cut out all unnecessary chores right now and complete a log of what you are doing- phone calls etc so you can see an audit trail ( i.e. to insurers.....I contacted you on 1/3/5/7/ and still no response etc etc)
Thinking of you,

Thanks Jan.
Its hard to factor nice things into my day when I am so worried about money, paying bills and ever finding a job again. Just feel things will never get better. Ive checked the plocies. They did not give me all the evidence to dismiss me before my hearing or ask me to adjourn when they did, I questioned this and they said they did. No one was with me so I can't prove this. Also they did not write I questioned these things in the notes, so in my appeal the top level manager did not believe I had qquestioned it. Though my statements were not signed as they did not ask me to sign.DEC WINS: Food Show tics, 5 books, cd, signed villa shirt, £25 Wilstshire farm voucher, private tuition, Glayva, Card making materials, Matter Box, John Frieda Hair Kit, Wolves Tickets0 -

boopopps - that's great news! Fingers crossed eh?
I was following your thread on i-resign. My hearing is in 2 weeks. If I resign beforehand, I'll get a reference. Methinks, that might be the lesser of two evils given what you've gone through.0
