planted about 50 daffs last year but hardly any of them have any flower, what did i do wrong.
Nothing.
The daffodils where I am in London have only been out for the past 2 weeks. Last year they were all dead by this time.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
You may have planted them too shallow
Mine are out and have been for about 5 days now and the small ones I have have been out 2 weeks0 -
A lot of them are late this year.. some by a month or two... They're springing up slowly here (Devon) - early ones are up (should have been up ages ago) and some still now flowers..0

its not just you! I live in Lincolnshire and I was commenting today how some of my daffs have not been out yet either. The ones in the front have but thats am easterly facing garden and so what sun we have had they have had it, but the ones at the back are still firmly in the green and show no inclination to come out at all.
On the positive side my winter pansies and primroses are doing wonderfully well :rotfl: and I will have plenty of time to tidy up the roses this year.

Here in Lancashire ours are up (but we are in a fairly sheltered spot). Dad around the corner has loads in bloom, look lovely.
They are late everywhere because of the cold weather, the commercial sellers were worried as they normally get a boost in sales for mothers day, but they missed it.

This is a silly question but i have no idea about gardening (yet!) - when the daffodils have flowered and withered, what do you do? Do they come back each year? Do they need cutting down? Will i just have a soil bed for a year until they come up again (if they do)? or can i plant more plants where they are? Thank you
Just £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
And then do it.0
