Private parking space

As you're prohibited from putting in a proper metal post or similar, could you maybe try putting a traffic cone there? This would deter most people from parking there - of course you might still get the odd determined person but worth a try?

A lot of leases say that vehicles must be taxed and insured if parked in parking space. Presumably it's to stop people leaving decaying wrecks there.

The space will be "owned" by the freeholder so they can make the rules that leaseholders have to abide by.

Can't you bring it up with your management company? Can they enforce it by enlisting a clamping company.

You are being too nice. If someone did that to me i would pour paint stripper over their car. Stand up for yourself or people will walk all over you.
