My OH said to let all their tires down (he's a bit mean though)
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

martindow My son is a forklift truck driver. He has volunteered to dump it in a skip. My lease does not allow me to drill into the road or put up a post.
getmore4less The bays are very clearly numbered in white paint.
Bonny1 That would make the bay useless to everyone, including me, my friends and family

msgnomey I am certainly considering that. My son suggested removing the wheels.

I had this problem when I lived in a block of flats in Hillsbourough - Sheffield Wednesday supporters though it was perfectly reasonable to come into the private car park and park in your paid for space.

The simple solution was to block them in. At the time I was a student so only had an old banger so wasn't too worried about any damage.

    Hi,
Could you put a row of bricks along the outer edge that would stop a car driving over and onto the space.

Can you block the car in somehow? i.e. if a friend comes round, get them to park directly infront of it.

Or just put a (heavy) post and chain across the space stating private parking?

Or discuss with the freehold people about getting a post installed?

Or just put something in the space? Something big and heavy?

    Contact a private clamping company?

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Any car in the space is trespassing on your land. I would put a note on the car saying their registration number (and put the number on the sheet) has been recorded and in the event of a repeat violation it will be clamped. I'd be inclined to not say if any charge will be made (there won't be). Record these details for your own records.

Buy a clamp and put it on if they repeat the offense. As long as you do not make a charge, damage the car and clearly state where they need to go to remove the clamp you should be OK - just the fact of having to come and see you should put people off.

Don't let it take over your life though!!

I wouldnt even think about moving it or removing the wheels, you will be liable for any damage whatsover and you would be liable to be prosecuted for criminal damage. So think on.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
