Meal cooked for caravan for tomorrow night - well, for us to eat in the caravan as the caravan doesn't actually require food! Bulbs replaced (we didn't have light in two rooms!) and kitchen s/s'ed.

Off to the land of zzzzzzzzzzzzzz now.

Night all - i'll catch up when i get back xx

    • cut out fizzy drinks (they're bad for you in so many ways anyway :p)I promise, I only had this as it was in the cupboard, am lucky if I have fizzy drinks once every 3 months
    • no alcohol at all for a bit. hmmm...this could be hard :p
    • limit caffeine (including tea & chocolate!), particularly after lunch drink coffee from when am up until about 3, rarely eat chocolate
    • drink plenty of water (although cut down towards evening faithfully drink 2 litres a day during working hours
    • eat carbs - they're a natural tranquiliser...hmm never knew that
    • remove electrical/electronic equipment from your bedroom. It's for sleep and sex (not necessarily in that order of priority!), not a home cinema, and you don't need to be online there, or have your mobile phone to hand. A battery operated alarm clock (if you need one) will do. Do have the tv although no lappy or mobile DH will not remove the TV, I watch it when ironing but would rather read before sleep
    • remove clutter - it lets the air (and energy if you believe in that kind of thing) flow freely. This includes clutter under the bed. I you have stuff there, at least make sure it is tidy and clean! Room is actually ok and its a divan
    • Magnesium citrate (not combined with calcium) before bed
    • epsom salt bath (start with a teacup full and build up)
    • lavender oil in the bath (add to a thimbleful of milk before adding to the bath to help disperse
    • lavendar on the pillow
    • Badger sleep balm
    • Switch off PC a hour before bedtime MUST DO
    • reflexology
    • herbal/yogi teas
    • walk round the block before bed...Not an option most nights am here on my own don't think I can leave kids alone :rotfl::eek:
You really need to find out what it is that's causing the problem. If your brain is just keeping going, then you need to calm it down - hence no TV/PC for an hour or so, a gentle potter round the block, a good bedtime routine (wiping down the kitchen, pottering about once everyone else is in bed) and if necessary some yoga/meditation to clear the annoyiing thoughts. Or try the black box exercise - every time something pops up, put it in the (imaginary) black box and tell it you'll deal with it in the morning. Make sure you open the box in the morning (your mind needs to trust this system) and most of the problems will have disappeared - then deal with the others.

    Don't try everything at once...

Thanks Greenbee, will start with the black box thing, and let you know how I go, I have lavender which I will put on my pillow, the magnesium and other stuff, well I will wait and see how I go and use it as a process of elimination, think I will start keeping a diary and see if there is anything in particular, think my brain may be working overtime. Knew I could rely on you :T and on that note, am off to bed , see you all in the morning, have a nice sleep xx

I've done tea and sorted through the stuff from the car. Have thrown carp out and put the rest back properly, apart from the CDs, which I want to get organised first. Just thinking what to do now. DH is back in half an hour, so not much time to get stuff done. I'll declutter a programme from the sky+, I think, as we've got hardly any space left.

It's DH's day off tomorrow and he's already said that he'd like to go somewhere. He'll be in a foul mood if we don't - tried that last time. I'm going to suggest housework in the morning and then some time out. He can take DS2 out for an hour or so, or do some ironing ;).

Just checking in from Bude. We had a good trip down - well, me and the kids did because we all had a sleep whilst DH battled through the wind and rain on the motorway! MIL did lush tea for us, kids had a bath and are sound asleep now.

AF came this morning and I feel so much better now. I'm feeling much more like my normal self - on the higher dose I felt I was above myself looking down iykwim, but now I'm a lot more aware of what's going on. Do I sound weird? Hope not!

You lot have written a lot and I've only had a quick skim. Hope Diva feels better soon and hugs to Lady L and Toots xx

Off to bed now. Goodnight xxxx

Mudders have a top time old girl.

Just finally settled DS3 - he is so his mothers child, fretting away at the close of day.

Just going to set the WM and then I'm hitting the sack (yes he is in our bed again)
