Evening ladies
Back to the day job today but happy to say DH took delivery of the new suite before 830 meaning that he could get in bed at a reasonable hour after his night shift.
I finished work and went to the dentist plus had a quick scout round for clothes for dear brothers step daughters wedding on Saturday.
Have since managed to cook tea and clear away. Need a sit down for a bit as ate too much and cant watch TV as I'm not capable of putting the cables back together to make everything work! DH obviously didnt have time to put blinds back up or sort TV today but I bet he had time for farmville :mad:Didn't have a very good sleep as I was worrying about the lump, but I think as it is only under my arm I expect it should be okay. To tell you the truth I wasn't going to mention it with what others are going through, but as I wasn't getting much from DH I didn't know who else to turn to. Anyway as you all have said it is probably nothing..but thank you for the supportkazm - love the fireplace!Got one half of my new-to-me settee last night (2 seater and poufe) it's HUGE  don't know how I'm gonna get the 3 seater in, I mean I will, but it looks like it will be quite overbearing, neh mind it's practically new and much better than the ripped one I'm slinging out lol so yay :jLooks as though even I may acheive all of todays by default. Living room has been recently decorated and a new carpet laid. Not much furniture in there to move as were waiting for a call about delivery of new suiteMorning all
Sadly going home today.:(:( Had a lovely time in Scotland.:T:TSad to be going home but I'll look on the bright side.:) The car is packed and showers done. Toots is going to cornhill today.:D
Bye Miss A XxXxXxDH starts his new job today, so he's out the way lol, only the kids to deal with. ...rosepink1984 wrote: »Hello! I'm back! Feeling quite a bit better now. Started to feel better on Saturday but got a bit funny on Sunday and yesterday, was very tired and got very faint in Tesco yesterday whch was embarrassing as the first aiders put me in a wheelchair and wheeled me along the whole length of the checkouts so I could get outside in the fresh air!
Anyway, enough of my moaning. I've missed so much of the thread, so hopefully I've not missed anything important. LOve and hugs to you all, hope you are all ok
Today I'm going to wash up and tidy all floors and surfaces. Have got to have the place tip top by Friday as have one of the ladies coming round who helped us with our mega sort out and she won't want to see a mess. It's not too bad in here but I've not managed to do much in the last week or so.helen_jelly wrote: »Well what a morning I've had
Took my car to the garage to have its once a decade service and Mum brought me back, on the way back I witnessed a Bag snatch - what a scrot - from an elderly lady who was on a mobile scooter thingy, called the police who came very quickly and am now waiting for them to come round to mine so that I can give a statement, this happened at my Mum'e estate which is 2 miles from mine but I've seen the scrot hanging around on my estate so I'm also going to ask for an incident number so if I see him again I cam phone 999 and get him nabbed if he hasn't been by then. The elderly lady wasn't hurt luckily enough but she was on her way to her son to give him her holiday money that she'd saved [for him to look after] so the dirty theiving g!t got away with about £150 - man am I angry with himHow do you all cope with so few children? lolI also agree on the coffee. We have a Dolce Gusto machine and at 20p a cup it isn't cheap but there is no way I would change back to instant.Lady-Liberty wrote: »Did however get news from the hospital about Diva things haven't gone quite as smoothly as hoped, so she will have another op tomorrow .....she is one of my best friends....I know you will all join me in sending her loads of love & positive vibes :A .....I will be in touch with her OH latertoottifrootti wrote: »Hi flygang
I am sat in hear in silence:( - its so strange after the last 4 days of having AnW'sMum and SWs - i miss them already xx I know they are home safe so i am sure they will post later.
I can now understand all of you who have to fight for time on the pc - Miss A had fun (I think) getting the chance to be on while her Mum and me chatted. Master W was engrossed in Ivor the Engine and Indiana Jones most of the time!!!
I had a fabulous weekend with them and didnt want them to go. the children are so well behaved and well mannered it was a joy to have them - they were so patient letting me do some of my things and at the Church. It made my weekend to have them here - i amstill grinning after yesterday - we finally got to bed about midnight!!! we have had pizza, fish and chips, KFC, Alice's lasagne, had a picnic yesterday, bacon rolls, fed the ducks, IKEA!!!!!!!, just so much fun and 'Mum' and I have already thought of places to go next time!!! there just wasnt enough time or room in my flat!! they were lovely and all slept on the floor in the sitting room!
I just cant thank them enough for being here and being such lovely people.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx:D:T:A:A:A:A
And I managed to declutter 1 or 2 bits to their house to make room for what i bought at Ikea!!!!!:rotfl:
I will start to catch up tonight after tea - in the meantime....
Dusty I cant believe you have yet another broken bone - is that all 3 of them now - I hope DS is recovering a bit now - I will catch up on the news as i go along.
Lady L bless you angel for talking to Sandy - please give her my love and I hope the chemo is not so horroble - please tell her to ASK for pain relief and antinausea and not to be brave - she musnt let herself suffer in silence. I have lit a candle for her.xxxx
And in your angel mode again - how lovely you are - could you please pass on my love and best wishes to Diva - I am thinking of her and hope the op goes really well and she will be home and in touch with us again soon - healing vibes are winging their way and I have lit a candle for her too xxxx
Special love and strength to you lovely lady. xxx
back later

Hope everyone is ok, hugs to those that need them and sorry that I missed all of last week but spent the entire week in hospital flat on my back for most of the week. Anyway will be off work for 3 weeks until next Neuro appointment when test results will be back so I will join in and between my DD and I will try and do as much as we can.
I have to say that the house is even worse mess than before so it will take a conserted effort. I really need to do some serious ebaying as I need to make an extra mortgage payment.
Right now I can't do anything tonight as I have a raging headache and pain in back/hip and ankle.... so time for feet up and a bit of telly time. will start in the morning.
MeI couldn't possibly comment.
However, I learnt of a new condition today. It's called:

Emotionally drained and Soappie's post this evening has wiped me out.
I really appreciate all the vibes you have sent to me over the past 24 hours for my DS. He has cried for an hour this evening before I could finally get him to sleep in our bed, another night for DH in a single. My lovely DH brought him an ipod touch on the way home tonight. He has wanted one for months and as he can do so little and has been such a star we have treated him. He just kept saying thank you and hugging his Dad. Hopefully that will keep him busy for a little time this evening.
Hugs for Methekids, Diva, Lady L and Toots

Agreed totally, as a last thought on this we have to remain as we are as a group, not let the minority spoil it for the majority.

Evening, just been watching a really sad program on BBC2 about the cardiac team at Great Ormond street hospital:( Bits of it hitting a little too close to home.
Now watching Have I Got News For You to cheer myself up.
Hope DS is doing ok Dusty, what a nice present you got him, hope it makes him feel better.
I'm a little gobsmacked to say the least about the recent revelations from Soappie:eek:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I knew of something like this Soappie, although didn't know it had a name. There was a certain "friend" of mine who did this to a group of us in a stitchy board. Even now after being found out she is still doing it..some people you can't help.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

PenPen - it was DS1 and DS2 who broke their arms skiing. DS3 has never broken anything before and hopefully won't repeat the exercise.
Toots - I hope you don't think for one moment that we think you are a muncher. You are just a wonderful person with a heart of gold. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
