Welcome to the madhouse grumswifie, sounds like you have made a good start!

Haven't got as far as doing the bathroom yet. Had a quick snooze on the sofa while LO ate a gingerbread rabbit and watched Harry Potter.
Have had a cuppa now and sorted out some ebay stuff so will go do some washing and tackle the bathroom.

Rach - thanks for the suggestions. I will get some roobibwhatsit to try. Not a huge fan of herbal teas - I like black coffee, tea with very little milk, diet coke and wine :o. Can you imagine how I suffered when I was pregnant .
Try yogi teas - they're spicy rather than herbal. In fact, I'll send you a selection from my VAST array to try, then you don't have to worry about buying stuff you don't like :D.
Went to gym... ran for 17.5 minutes (2.5 minutes longer than last time, and as I find running incredibly boring, this is a major achievement), gossiped a bit, went to M&S to buy knickers, tried to buy some running/gym tops but couldn't find any decent ones so gave up and came home.

Washing now in TD. Need to find some lunch after all that exercise!

    So far today

Kitchen worktops all cleared and cleaned
    WM X 3
    TD X 2
    Front hall brushed
All shoes, wellies sorted in box
    Recycling gathered up
    1 bin bag rubbish out
    Rad fixed again.

Rad decided to leak again, when hubby tried to turn it offthe whole thing just went from a trip to a gush. Plumber was very good and came out in 20 mins. Seems there is a fault with the valve and it wouldn't close right. He's coming back tomorrow night to take the bath out so we can make a start on plastering the walls.

LL thanks for the update on Sandy, please pass on my love. Hugs to all the poorlies.

    Need to do.

    Saw some sticks
    keep going with washing
    put tip stuff in car
    sort kitchen windowsil

    That will do for now.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Hello!
I have been lurking over this thread for ages and have finally decided to buckle down and get on with a regular cleaning routine, rather than just picking up after everyone all the time. So far today I have cleaned out fridge, washing done and out to dry, beds made, tea made, halfway through sweeping kitchen floor. How do you guys manage to do this everyday? Harder at the moment as kids off but that will not be an excuse for me today!
:hello: welcome to the madhouse as G&B says......it does get easier;)

I swear by the tick tock brand...you can have with a little milk, just like normal tea. I switched DH onto it a few years ago and he never drinks any normal tea now...and he was a big sceptic and won't touch 'herbal' teas!

list all done - star please :j:j first one in ages, but must admit I only got it as DH cleaned the whole place yesterday!

Back in from the garden, I have weeded / cut back / etc all the way round the flower beds, plus sorted out all the plant pots, potted up some stuff to sell when I start car booting again.

Sorted out the shed, and dumped a load of stuff that is rubbish, goodness knows why I was saving any of it, it is even too tatty to freecyle!

Trying to work out what next to do................................

Well we went out this morning to get more bits for the spare room. Got rollers and some picture fixing bits for the new picture, and also got a nice new throw to go on the bed. We've since had lunch and now OH is in there painting. We tried the paint that I got at Mr A, and it was rubbish! Don't buy any if you're decorating - it would've taken about 7 coats to get the coverage we need to cover dark peach. Luckily OH had some decent trade paint in the garage, so he's using that at the moment, and I'm going to take the Mr A stuff back. It was the consistency of PVA glue, and I think I would've got the same coverage if I'd used poster paint! lol

Well as I'm not allowed in to help with the painting (not enough room, and only one dust sheet), I'm going to go and do some washing. The cat's blanket is really covered in fur, so if he's not on it, I'm going to make the most of the sunshine.

Happy birthday to embb. Hope you have a fantastic day.

    Hugs for LadyL and Sandy.
