I've got some curtain poles from Dunhelm for the living room and the bedrooms, hopefully when OH puts them up we'll not be in full view of everybody.

Other than that I've roasted a chicken for the cat because its on the turn...my own fault I never got it in the oven in time, should have been done this week...mid I think.

I am very fed up today and may take myself to the pictures on my lonesome, another lovely day wasted. Tomorrow I may try and head for the beach for a bit, just need some fresh air really. Before its back to the grind next week.

I may go 'meal plan' that'll be novel!!!

All those who've met glad you had a lovely day and those heading for Soappies have an equally splendid time. xxxxx

Have had a busy day gardening with the kids, have planted loads of seeds but we can't remember what is in which pot so we are going to have an interesting time watching it grow! Friend came over and all the kids have played mercilessly in the garden, they have all drawn round each other with chalklike murder victims on the floor - is hilarious.

House is getting there and I'm happy with it apart from the washing pile which is all clean and dry but just needs putting away.

Am off for a nice long-ish walk to work up an appetite for tea - whoever it is who does all the walking on here has inspired me - used to run a bit and dh has just started training for a 5k run in the summer for his godson who has cerebral palsy, and I miss my morning rambles.

I have sold a pair of shoes... YAY!! And have found 5 huge crates of ebay stuff.. I will put it all on a huge list and pop it up on the FB flylady in a day or two.. There is so much stuff to go it is unbelievable. I have unearthed Tiddles car seat which was used all of 4 times which I am considering replacing for the baby.. it is a Britax decent one.. but i'm not sure.. we'll see..

I have found about 12 pairs of shoes to sell!!

my charity shop binbag is full, my bin-binbag.. isn't bizarrely.. I thought there would be loads to throw out but it seems all the miscellaneous detritus from about the house has found its way up to my room!

I have located another huge tin of red paint in the shed so that should be DD1's room and the hall/stairs/landing sorted.. :D There was also a dribble more white which will be enough to keep them going until tomorrow at least.. hopefully itis elastic paint and will do enough coats!

Dinner in for the children.. 3 pies, 4 fish fingers and one pizza lol.. we are at the bottom of the freezer can you tell?

Oh.. I have a 10ft diameter round paddling pool.. in the shed.. !!!!!! do I do with it? I considered ebay but posting will be such a faff.. or freecycle but it seems a shame not to get anything for it when it has been used once... hellup!!

Pigpen - what about offering it on e bay for a local pick up - then the buyer can come round and see that it's undamaged ;)

Rightio, for all those interested in the YORK MEET, please can you tell me preferred days...looking like a weekday may be best...so far we have have had thursday or not thursday :rotfl:, would in the next fortnight or three weeks be ok, does this give people time to organise themselves?

This time we'll wear identifying pins/badges or something so we don't miss each other.

    Hi there Trikes

I too am a Yorkshire person and I am sweet and lovely with a core of limestone grit!

I would prefer a Mon/Wed/Fri (Tues and Thurs are v.difficult to get time off work)

I can't do the 23-30 April or 7 May either

The Park and Ride scheme is great to use too. Park for free and then whatever it now costs to get into the centre (around £3 ish or £4 return) It is quite expensive to park in York and the traffic is quite heavy as per city centres are.

There are several Park and Rides off the A64
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

  • Well, I had to go out and get a set of printer ink refills today - perfect weather for testing my brand new prescription sunnies (the wonders of BOGOF internet suppliers!). Could have shopped for pointless stuff all day, but heart wasn't really in it, so came home and attacked even more washing and gibbley bits.

Made the mistake of sitting on my bed when cat#1 was sunbathing on it. Felt guilty because I woke her up, leaned over, then she took full advantage and used her secret weapon on me - the full purr body slam. Woke up 2 hours later with cat #1 splodged out over me in sun induced bliss.

Will have something to eat then shall go back to work - bloke downstairs has left for his night shift, so I can make as much noise as I like doing so!

Piggers, can you not stick an advert in your local paper or a newsagent/post office? There must be people near you wanting a pool now there's been a couple of sunny days - make 'em collect it and pay cash and you're saved the ebay postage and faff.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
