How about you park at Amazingstoke and catch the train in :p
    Or Eastleigh?
    Or Southampton Parkway?

Fantastic news Pigpen - I'm so pleased for you and very jealous.

Please don't read that as a clue that I am about to add to my brood. The stable door is firmly shut on that one:(.

Looking forward to the meet on Saturday.

No flying done today. W/M x 3 but thats a bit down on usual.

Ongoing nightmares with DD1 and DS1 regarding revision or rather the lack of it. DS1 is making an effort. DD1 has announced that she is off on holiday with friends in the morning and will be back on Monday. I'm furious and DH isn't being very supportive. He takes the view she is only young once and she should live a little. I want her to live but I also want her to pass her blinking A levels with decent grades.

Rant over - I'm off for a large glass of wine now. Night xx

    Evening all,

not much flying done today I'm afraid - still feel a bt groggy after yesterdays migraine.

Sorry, but I won't be able to make the Meadowhall meet tomorrow. I promised DD a day out when she was off & had to let her down yesterday cos of my head, so tomorrow is the last day before she goes back to 6th form on Monday. She works weekends.

Hope you all have a brilliant time!

Aww, poor BeffyBoo! Glad you're feeling back to your normal self now Soappie. I'm afraid I won't be coming over to Southampton in the evening, as I've already planned dinner and got all of the ingredients in, and it'll be quite a long way for me to go for dinner.

Congratulations to pigpen on the new squeak - thank goodness we can all talk about it now! ;)

Hope everyone who is meeting up tomorrow has a lovely meet and that the weather is good for you all!

Bought some new sheets today reduced from £120 to £36! They are 100% cotton satteen, and 500 thread count!

OH has given up on glossing the spare room now as the gloss we had was old, and it isn't working, so he's going to finish it off another weekend now. We're hoping to put the new picture up tomorrow and the new lampshade, and then I'm getting to work on dressing the bed in preparation for mumofjusttwo's stay on Saturday night.

Took back the rubbish paint today to MrA, and also MIL's trousers. Had a look in B&Q nearby whilst I was down that way to see if they had any cushions to dress the bed further, but they didn't have any in the colour I wanted. Everyone is obviously decorating using green at the moment, and everywhere I go, all of the green cushions have sold out!

OH finished off mount washmore today, but hasn't put any of it away, so that'll be my job first thing tomorrow.

Fingers crossed he will finish off the shelves in the airing cupboard too so that I can put all of the towels and bedlinen back in there, as they had been on the spare room bed before, and are now in front of my drawer units in the bedroom, which means I can't get to them.

Sent off my paperwork this afternoon to my new employer, so hopefully after Easter, I can get on with the supply teaching straight away.

Also decluttered an email to a friend who is travelling at the moment, and who is coming back next week, so hopefully another ex-work (nice colleagues only) get-together will be on the cards.

Well I'd better declutter myself off to bed in a minute, as I want to get up early tomorrow and make the most of the day and the good weather.

    Night night all,

    sexymouse xx

PS Natty you have a PM - it will be lovely to see you on Saturday.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

can you not persuade her to come to Meadowhall which is, of course, despite being in Yorkshire (shudders) shopping NIRVANA...

would've been lovely to (a) meet you and (b) get a seciond opinion on DS's much needed 41 cm drop valance! Debenhams here I come

    - I found a 41cm drop valance in Ponden Mill (but was distracted by presence of an aforementioned actor ;) and decided to wait until I have seen what debenhams have to offer PLUS I now have a TOTALLY LEGITIMATE REASON to visit (A) M'hall and (b) D'hams - the one in Ponden Mill was a box valance and I think a frilled one might be easier - it won't NEED ironing and Il;ike to keep things simple, honest! Also have sneaking feeling that Debenhams might be cheaper, having looked on-line

of course IF I find debehams can't beat Ponden Mills £10 I might change my mind and then have to traipse all the way back....

    aaargh
