    Evening budgeteers,

I am now definitely red for the week as I ended up getting a ticket to go and see Bad Company this evening but they were worth every penny :D Paul Rogers still has one hell of a voice.:j:j:j

D'oh! I too am red this week and am declaring now with a single spend of £50; I also ended up buying tickets, not quite a cool as Bad Company, I bought tickets for my OH whose birthday is in a couple of months, for a theatre performance where eleven deafblind actors play out their "moving and life-affirming stories through music, humour, mime, magic" and ... bread-making!! "Mixing reality with fantasy, grandeur with ridicule, Not By Bread ignites your senses, titillates your taste buds and fires your imagination. As the smell of baking bread fills the theatre, tales unfold and the sharing begins…."

Additionally, my tickets include service at the accompanying BlackOut Bar, a bar in the dark where blind waiters provide the service and show you the way with tastings and activities in the dark; plus, Cafe Kapish, staffed by deaf waiters who engage customers in a dialogue in sign language to order your food. Reportedly, "You will be amazed how fun and easy communicating without words can be and how an ordinary night out can soon turn into an extraordinary experience.", we shall see ... who knows what food I'll end up with!! Anyway, it's right up my OH's street, she'll love it and I'll get mucho brownie points!! (Click here for the link if anyone is interested)

Anyway, I'll pledge my lucky £35 again for next week please Pointy - I just need to work out how I can avoid filling up the motorbike what with that petrol prices having just reached a record all time high!

However I did find a receipt in my purse for some batteries I bought for work so reclaimed £1.89 from petty cash :D, the extra 69p am putting into my overdrawn account today ;). Am aiming for a NSD and to help me achieve this I'm going to leave my purse at home ;)

  • I have to declare red already

Im £21.09 down - yet another week of not sticking to it.My downfall has been 'wandering' around shops and not being able to resist reduced items! nothing spectacular but some reduced toiletries/cosmetics...which to be honest I do need but Ive stocked up as they were reduced which I shouldnt have really when I know I have £15 for the week!

So Im declaring red and will start again next week with £15 again and try so much harder!! I promise!!
    Weekly Spend Challenge £20
  • Well I didn't spend any more this week, so my final is £50.40

OK, I may regret this, but I'm going to try and claw some of it back next week and pledge £30.

Well, it is red this week, I am afraid. I did buy a book for £4.99 last Saturday and my budget for the week was £5. Being a healthy realist I fully expected to survive the rest of the week on 1p. but then today was totally reckless and had a coffee with a friend. So, total weekly spend on me £6.94.

Can you put me down for £5 next week, please. Even overspending on that budget is OK.
