Just wanted to say I'm really hoping for the best and hope all goes well
  • We've now got rehydration solution and another powder for replacing the lost potassium. She ate a bit of food this afternoon, I have syringed her with all her meds today and she had another biscuit at about 5.

I had a frank chat with the vet this afternoon and she said if we there is no improvement by Weds/Thursday then there is nothing else we can do for her.

Lets hope she starts to improve. Well done getting all her meds into her today.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

  • I'm sad to say we had to make the decision to have Fluffy PTS this morning. She went downhill again overnight and couldn't stand up or barely lift her head so we took the last trip down to the vets.

They were worried they might have trouble finding a vein in her legs so gave her a strong sedative first to make sure she didn't feel anything in case they had to inject somewhere else. Then we sat on a bench in their garden enjoying the sunshine for a while until she nodded off and we went back into the treatment room.

I have really appreciated all the support you've given, thank you so much for taking the time to read and offer advice.

I already have a link to the rainbow bridge but won't be watching it just yet.

    Thanks again xxx
