Minimum term before downgrade on o2 18months tariff

Hi all,

Been looking for a new 'phone, decided to go for a SEp990 on o2 (£29.99 for handset), just wondering how long I need to keep the contract at £35pm before I can "downgrade" to £20pm.

Been looking at the cpw website, which does state 6 months, but been stung with them before re Vodafone who claim 9months.

Could anyone clarify?

    Its usually 3 months but it's worth checking with O2!

    Lots of websites say 120 days for o2 but should check osps t&c as they tend to threaten all sorts of clawback of their commission for early disconnection

    I asked O2-Direct last week and they said 6 months for both 12/18 months. I think it will be same for CPW-O2
