Well spotted, Ninky. Except that if assets are the possessions that make you money whithout much further effort, time as such is not an asset. But it is a major condition for creating assets...To answer your question - I do a lot, true. But I would see myself as 'time-rich' because I do not waste it. Most of the learning about money, planning etc. as well as writing this diary usually happens in the evenings instead of watching TV. Most of my training is done as part of my daily life - cycling to work, running to work and/or back, etc.
We did do the whole eating out or eating ready meals thing loads. But since January everything is cooked from scratch, including humus etc. I have not bought lunch at work for three months now - and as a bonus I have lost quite a bit of weight.
But the most important thing - my time is part of the time of everyone in my family. They are all very supporting and we share loads of chores and jobs.
Being time rich I think translates into being time conscious and organised.

Thanks, Savingwannabe. Have a good weekend yourself.
Oh, and I have not mentioned that yet but I run marathons for two reasons: 1) very good way to really see a city; 2) one gets to hug people at the end; and the faster one finishes the younger the people are. Makes the whole 26.22 miles so well worth it...

you sound very organised and strongwilled firewalker. it's quite something to change your routine and stick to a new plan. i don't think i'm organised enough to make my own hummous on a regular basis. plus it is time consuming. we do pretty much cook from scratch at home although i don't often manage to take food into work so it's regularly a fiver spent there. at the same time i don't have children and am earning a reasonable wage with a husband who is also working (now). no debts and trying to pay off the mortgage as soon as possible rather than climb the property ladder.
good luck with it and i look forward to reading your diary. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
Firewalker i hope you are fast asleep in bed recovering. I thought of you yesterday. Weather was delicious. I hope you were able to hug a lot of people.
Do take it easy today.

Hi Savingwannabe, hi all.
A brief note from my phone - we just drove the marathon course so I know where I am tomorrow. It is a rather long way but...Hope to finish in under 5 hours. So by this time tomorrow I'll be ready for a large steak and a sleep. Looks like a very well organised event.

We'll be your virtual supporters. I hope there are a few young hunks that you can chase around the course and guarantee some good hugs and an exceptional time
. Will it be televised?
There, i've managed to lower the tone of your diary.
Have you thought about selling some of your 32 pairs of shoes on e-bay? they can fetch a good price.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Oh i mixed up my days. Weather is superb. You will get a lovely tan!!!!!
Have a fab day. Will be thinking of you whilst marking.
